On the crisp morning of January 22, 2025, laughter echoed through the quiet lanes
of Barnu 2, Tehri Garhwal, as children gathered at the local Anganwadi Center, eyes
sparkling with excitement. The Samoon Foundation had arrived— not just with warm
sweaters, but with a spirit of care that lit up the entire village.
For the little ones, the sweaters were more than winter clothing— they were a symbol
of warmth, attention, and love. The day was filled with smiles and giggles as the
Foundation also organized games and sweet treats, turning the distribution into a
celebration of community and childhood.
Mrs. Sita Devi, the Village Head, remarked with emotion that the Foundation’s visit had
instilled “new hope and positive energy” throughout Barnu. Mrs. Vinita Rana, Chief
Anganwadi Worker, described the eff ort as nothing short of a “blessing,” especially
for children in such remote regions where resources are scarce. Mrs. Soni Rana,
Chairperson of the Anganwadi Mothers’ Committee, praised the initiative’s thoughtful
touches— sports and chocolate— saying it had “truly uplifted the children's spirits.”
Representing the Foundation, Mr. Rajendra Singh Rangad engaged warmly with children
and parents alike, reinforcing the Foundation’s core belief that every child deserves
not only education but also joy, dignity, and encouragement.
The Anganwadi Assistant and grateful parents echoed the sentiment, applauding the
Foundation's unwavering commitment. This initiative once again demonstrated how
small acts of kindness— especially when delivered with consistency and heart— cancreate lasting impact in a child’s journey toward a brighter future.
