Food Support for Migrant Workers Walking Towards Nepal

During the COVID-19 pandemic, thousands of migrant workers were forced to return to their homes on foot due to loss of jobs and lack of financial resources.

In this context, Samoon Foundation extended support to a group of Nepali migrant workers who were walking from Himachal Pradesh towards Nepal. On 23 May, 2020, near Dehradun, the Samoon Foundation team arranged refreshments for them during the day and provided proper meals at night.

These workers had decided to travel on foot as they were not receiving wages from their workplaces and were facing extreme difficulty in sustaining themselves.

Understanding their situation, Samoon Foundation continues to provide food and ration support to such migrant workers across different parts of Uttarakhand.

नेपाल की ओर पैदल जा रहे प्रवासी मजदूरों हेतु भोजन सहायता

स्थान: देहरादून के समीप, उत्तराखंड

COVID-19 महामारी के दौरान अनेक प्रवासी मजदूरों को रोजगार न मिलने और आर्थिक संकट के कारण पैदल ही अपने घरों की ओर लौटने के लिए मजबूर होना पड़ा।

इसी क्रम में हिमाचल प्रदेश से नेपाल की ओर पैदल जा रहे नेपाली मजदूरों को समूण फाउंडेशन की टीम द्वारा दिनांक 23 मई 2020 को देहरादून के समीप दिन में जलपान एवं रात्रि में भोजन उपलब्ध कराया गया।

ये मजदूर जिस स्थान पर कार्यरत थे वहां उन्हें वेतन नहीं मिल रहा था, जिसके कारण उनके सामने जीवन यापन की गंभीर समस्या उत्पन्न हो गई थी और इसी वजह से उन्होंने पैदल ही अपने घर लौटने का निर्णय लिया।

समूण फाउंडेशन उत्तराखंड के विभिन्न स्थानों पर ऐसे प्रवासी मजदूरों को निरंतर राशन एवं भोजन उपलब्ध कराने का कार्य कर रहा है।

COVID-19 महामारी के दौरान दूसरे राज्यों से आए कई मजदूर एवं उनके परिवार उत्तराखंड के विभिन्न स्थानों पर फंसे हुए थे, जहां उन्हें रोजगार, भोजन एवं अन्य आवश्यक संसाधनों की भारी कमी का सामना करना पड़ रहा था।

During the COVID-19 pandemic, Samoon Foundation continued its efforts to reach needy families living in remote areas and provide them with essential supplies.

On 23 May, 2020, the Samoon Foundation team reached Galle Village, Rikhnikhal Block, Pauri Garhwal, Uttarakhand, after receiving a list of needy families through Samoon Foundation member Shri Manoj Singh Negi Ji.

Taking immediate action, essential food and household items were delivered to the identified families. Each assistance kit included:

• 1 bottle of mustard oil

• 1 kg sugar

• 1 kg mixed pulses

• 1 kg chana dal

COVID-19 महामारी के कठिन समय में समूण फाउंडेशन द्वारा दूरस्थ क्षेत्रों में रह रहे जरूरतमंद परिवारों तक सहायता पहुंचाने का कार्य लगातार जारी है।

दिनांक 23 मई 2020 को समूण फाउंडेशन की टीम ग्राम गल्ले गांव, ब्लॉक रिखणीखाल, जिला पौड़ी गढ़वाल, उत्तराखंड पहुंची। समूण सदस्य श्री मनोज सिंह नेगी जी के निवेदन पर प्राप्त जरूरतमंद परिवारों की सूची के आधार पर तत्काल कार्यवाही करते हुए चिन्हित परिवारों को आवश्यक खाद्य सामग्री एवं घरेलू उपयोग की वस्तुएं वितरित की गईं।

Tribute to Late Shri Darmiyan Singh Rawat Ji

Location: Tehri Garhwal, Uttarakhand

Samoon Foundation made every possible effort to save the life of Late Shri Darmiyan Singh Rawat Ji, but unfortunately, destiny had something else in store and he is no longer with us.

Shri Darmiyan Singh Rawat Ji was working at a hotel in Rudrapur. Due to the COVID-19 situation, he had returned to his village and was staying at a quarantine center, where his health suddenly deteriorated. He was immediately shifted to Jolly Grant Hospital for emergency treatment.

Samoon Foundation tried its best to support his medical treatment, but due to a brain hemorrhage, doctors expressed difficulties in treatment, and within a few hours, the unfortunate news of his demise was received.

His family was unable to arrange even the ambulance expenses required to take his mortal remains from Jolly Grant, Dehradun, to his native village. Understanding the family’s difficult situation, Samoon Foundation immediately arranged an ambulance and covered the complete ambulance expenses so that Late Shri Darmiyan Singh Rawat Ji could be taken respectfully to his home.

Late Shri Darmiyan Singh Rawat Ji was a resident of Chamol Village, Post Office Seeliyara, Ghansali, Tehri Garhwal, Uttarakhand. He leaves behind his wife, three young children aged one and a half years, four years, and seven years, along with his elderly parents.

Samoon Foundation prays for peace for the departed soul and strength for the bereaved family.

स्वर्गीय श्री दरमियान सिंह रावत जी को श्रद्धांजलि

स्थान: टिहरी गढ़वाल, उत्तराखंड

स्वर्गीय श्री दरमियान सिंह रावत जी की जान बचाने हेतु समूण परिवार द्वारा हर संभव प्रयास किया गया, लेकिन ईश्वर की इच्छा के आगे हम असहाय रहे और दरमियान जी अब हमारे बीच नहीं रहे।

दरमियान सिंह रावत जी रुद्रपुर के एक होटल में कार्यरत थे। कोरोना महामारी के कारण वे अपने गांव लौटे थे और क्वारंटीन सेंटर में रह रहे थे। वहीं अचानक उनकी तबीयत खराब हो गई, जिसके बाद उन्हें तत्काल आपातकालीन स्थिति में जौली ग्रांट अस्पताल, देहरादून में भर्ती करवाया गया।

समूण परिवार द्वारा उनके इलाज के लिए हर संभव प्रयास किया गया, लेकिन ब्रेन हैमरेज के कारण डॉक्टरों ने इलाज को कठिन बताया और कुछ ही समय बाद उनके निधन की दुखद सूचना प्राप्त हुई।

परिवार की आर्थिक स्थिति अत्यंत कमजोर थी और उनके पार्थिव शरीर को जौली ग्रांट अस्पताल से घर तक ले जाने के लिए एंबुलेंस की व्यवस्था करना भी संभव नहीं था। परिवार की परिस्थिति को देखते हुए समूण फाउंडेशन द्वारा तत्काल एंबुलेंस की व्यवस्था की गई और उसका पूरा भुगतान करते हुए स्वर्गीय दरमियान सिंह रावत जी के पार्थिव शरीर को सम्मानपूर्वक उनके घर तक पहुंचाया गया।

स्वर्गीय दरमियान सिंह रावत जी ग्राम चमोल, पोस्ट ऑफिस सीलियारा, घनसाली, टिहरी गढ़वाल, उत्तराखंड के निवासी थे। वे अपने पीछे पत्नी, तीन छोटे बच्चों (जिनकी उम्र डेढ़ वर्ष, 4 वर्ष एवं 7 वर्ष है) तथा बुजुर्ग माता-पिता को छोड़ गए हैं।

समूण परिवार दिवंगत आत्मा की शांति एवं शोक संतप्त परिवार को इस दुख को सहन करने की शक्ति प्रदान करने हेतु ईश्वर से प्रार्थना करता है।

COVID-19 महामारी के दौरान समाज की सुरक्षा और आवश्यक सेवाओं को निरंतर बनाए रखने में कोरोना योद्धाओं की महत्वपूर्ण भूमिका रही है।

ऐसे ही कोरोना योद्धाओं के सम्मान और उत्साहवर्धन हेतु समूण फाउंडेशन की हरिद्वार टीम के सदस्य श्री कमल कांत जी द्वारा देहरादून में पुलिस अधिकारियों, होमगार्ड जवानों एवं सफाई कर्मियों को पानी एवं जूस प्रदान कर सम्मानित किया गया।

Refreshment and Food Support for Migrants Returning to Uttarakhand

Location: Rishikesh & Nearby Areas, Uttarakhand

During the COVID-19 pandemic, many migrants from different states were returning to their native villages in Uttarakhand. Samoon Foundation’s Rishikesh team continuously worked to provide support to these travelers by arranging refreshments, fruits, drinking water, and meals at different locations around Rishikesh.

As part of this ongoing service initiative, on 21 May, 2020, the team provided refreshments and drinking water bottles to 36 migrant brothers who were returning to their villages.

Additionally, on the request of Shri Shanti Prasad Ji from Muni Ki Reti Police Station, Samoon Foundation provided 400 leaf plates (pattal) to support food distribution arrangements.

उत्तराखंड लौट रहे प्रवासियों हेतु जलपान एवं भोजन सहायता अभियान

स्थान: ऋषिकेश एवं आसपास के क्षेत्र, उत्तराखंड

COVID-19 महामारी के दौरान विभिन्न राज्यों से बड़ी संख्या में उत्तराखंड के प्रवासी अपने गांवों की ओर लौट रहे थे। ऐसे समय में समूण फाउंडेशन की ऋषिकेश टीम द्वारा लगातार इन प्रवासी भाइयों की सहायता हेतु ऋषिकेश एवं आसपास के क्षेत्रों में जलपान, फल, पानी एवं भोजन की व्यवस्था की जा रही थी।

इसी क्रम में दिनांक 21 मई 2020 को समूण फाउंडेशन की टीम द्वारा 36 प्रवासी भाइयों को जलपान करवाया गया तथा पानी की बोतलें उपलब्ध करवाई गईं।

इसके अतिरिक्त मुनी की रेती कोतवाली के श्री शांति प्रसाद जी के निवेदन पर भोजन वितरण व्यवस्था हेतु 400 पत्तल भी उपलब्ध करवाए गए।
