On July 30, 2024, the Samoon Foundation's ongoing mission to promote educational

equity reached its thirteenth milestone at Prathmik Seva Mission School in Chulisain,

Tehri Garhwal. As part of its uniform distribution campaign, the Foundation provided

students with essential school uniforms— instilling not only a sense of pride and

identity but also reinforcing their connection to education.

The distribution eff ort was a model of collaboration, led by Samoon Foundation team

members Jitendra Jardhari, Shanti Prasad Joshi, Virendra Singh, and Paras Singh,

with valuable support from social worker Jai Prakash Chamoli. Principal Mr. Lakhiram

Chamoli reflected on the emotional impact: “Their smiles and happiness are priceless,

and such contributions boost children's self- confidence and attachment toeducation.

” Acting Headmaster Mr. Ramesh Rangad noted that the initiative provided

underprivileged students. This milestone event took place at Government Primary

School, Ratno Malla, in Block Thauldhar, Tehri Garhwal, further advancing the

Foundation’s vision of equitable education through tangible support.

Led by dedicated team members Rajendra Singh Rangad and Sunil Saklani, the

initiative aimed to supply not just clothing, but dignity and motivation to young

learners. Headmistress Aditi Bahukhandi movingly captured the spirit of the day:

“Perhaps for you, it’s a small thing, but the joy that can be seen on the children’s

faces is priceless.

” Assistant Teacher Neelam Ratudi added that uniforms promote

Thauldhar, T ehri Garhwal. As part of its broader campaign to provide free uniforms to

4,000 students across  Uttarakhand, this visit marked a critical step in ensuring

equitable access to educational resources.

The Foundation’s field team— Rajendra Rangad, Vinod Rangad, Sunil Saklani, and

Baldev Chauhan— personally coordinated the distribution, ensuring that every child

received the necessary support. Speaking at the event, Mr. Rajendra Rangad

underscored the dual objective of the campaign: fostering educational participation

while easing the financial burden on underprivileged families. The initiative targets

4,000 students across 50 government schools by the end of the year.

culture, education, and social service during the conclusion of the first- ever "Tehri Kitab

Kauthing"

— a grand literary and cultural fair celebrating the written word. Over the

two- day event, more than 50,000 books adorned the venue, drawing in thousands of

students, writers, educators, and book lovers from across the region.

Among the festival’s notable contributors was the Samoon Foundation, which reinforced

its mission of educational equity by donating 1 00 school uniforms to underprivileged

students. The Foundation’s thoughtful contribution linked access to literature with

tangible student support, eff ectively bridging the gap between knowledge sharing and

social empowerment.

The event featured a diverse array of literary discussions, author interactions, and cultural

performances. Noteworthy sessions included themes such as“Himalaya in Danger” and
