On 22 July 2024, the historic city of New Tehri witnessed a remarkable celebration of literature, culture, and social service with the successful conclusion of the first-ever “Tehri Kitab Kauthing” — a grand literary and cultural festival dedicated to books, knowledge, and creative expression.
During this two-day event, more than 50,000 books were displayed, attracting thousands of students, writers, educators, and book enthusiasts from across the region. The festival became a vibrant platform for promoting reading habits, intellectual discussions, and appreciation for local culture and heritage.
As part of this significant event, Samoon Foundation further strengthened its commitment towards educational equality by contributing 100 school uniforms for underprivileged students. 22 जुलाई 2024 को ऐतिहासिक शहर नई टिहरी में साहित्य, संस्कृति और समाज सेवा का एक अद्भुत संगम देखने को मिला, जब प्रथम “टिहरी किताब कौथिग” का सफल समापन हुआ। यह भव्य साहित्यिक एवं सांस्कृतिक महोत्सव पुस्तकों, ज्ञान और रचनात्मक अभिव्यक्ति को समर्पित था।
दो दिवसीय इस आयोजन में 50,000 से अधिक पुस्तकों का प्रदर्शन किया गया, जिसमें क्षेत्रभर से हजारों विद्यार्थी, लेखक, शिक्षक और पुस्तक प्रेमी शामिल हुए। यह महोत्सव पढ़ने की संस्कृति को बढ़ावा देने, विचार-विमर्श को प्रोत्साहित करने और स्थानीय संस्कृति एवं विरासत के प्रति जागरूकता बढ़ाने का एक महत्वपूर्ण मंच बना।
