Harela Festival Tree Plantation Drive by Samoon Students

On 16 July 2024, amidst the beautiful green hills of Sauda village, Tehri Garhwal, students of Samoon Computer Training Institute and Samoon Excellence Coaching Centre celebrated Uttarakhand’s traditional festival of greenery and nature, Harela, through a meaningful tree plantation drive.
The initiative reflected the true spirit of Harela, a festival that represents environmental protection, renewal, and respect for nature. Instead of limiting the celebration to traditional practices, students transformed the occasion into an active contribution towards preserving the environment and creating a greener future.
Under the guidance of Centre Director Mr. Vijendra Kumar, students participated enthusiastically in the plantation activity. With saplings in their hands and a commitment towards sustainability in their hearts, they planted trees and learned about the importance of protecting natural resources.
The plantation drive served as both a cultural and environmental initiative, connecting students with the traditional values of Uttarakhand while encouraging them to become responsible citizens. The activity helped students understand that environmental conservation is not only a responsibility but also a way to honour the natural heritage passed down through generations.
Through such initiatives, Samoon Foundation continues to focus not only on education and skill development but also on creating environmentally conscious individuals. This celebration of Harela beautifully combined tradition with action, proving that festivals can become powerful platforms for meaningful and lasting change.

समून विद्यार्थियों द्वारा हरेला पर्व पर वृक्षारोपण अभियान

16 जुलाई 2024 को टिहरी गढ़वाल के सौड़ गांव की हरी-भरी पहाड़ियों में समून कंप्यूटर ट्रेनिंग इंस्टीट्यूट और समून एक्सीलेंस कोचिंग सेंटर के विद्यार्थियों ने उत्तराखंड के प्रसिद्ध हरियाली एवं प्रकृति संरक्षण के पर्व हरेला को एक प्रेरणादायक वृक्षारोपण अभियान के रूप में मनाया।
यह पहल हरेला पर्व की वास्तविक भावना को दर्शाती है, जो पर्यावरण संरक्षण, प्रकृति के प्रति सम्मान और नई शुरुआत का प्रतीक है। विद्यार्थियों ने केवल पारंपरिक रूप से पर्व मनाने तक सीमित न रहते हुए पर्यावरण संरक्षण में अपना योगदान देने का संकल्प लिया।
केंद्र निदेशक श्री विजेंद्र कुमार के मार्गदर्शन में विद्यार्थियों ने उत्साहपूर्वक वृक्षारोपण कार्यक्रम में भाग लिया। हाथों में पौधे और मन में पर्यावरण संरक्षण की भावना के साथ विद्यार्थियों ने पौधे लगाए और पेड़ों के महत्व तथा प्राकृतिक संसाधनों की सुरक्षा के बारे में जानकारी प्राप्त की।
यह वृक्षारोपण अभियान सांस्कृतिक और पर्यावरणीय दोनों दृष्टिकोण से महत्वपूर्ण रहा। इसने विद्यार्थियों को उत्तराखंड की परंपराओं से जोड़ने के साथ-साथ उन्हें जिम्मेदार नागरिक बनने की प्रेरणा दी। इस गतिविधि के माध्यम से विद्यार्थियों ने समझा कि पर्यावरण संरक्षण केवल जिम्मेदारी नहीं बल्कि अपनी प्राकृतिक धरोहर के प्रति सम्मान व्यक्त करने का माध्यम भी है।
ऐसी पहलों के माध्यम से समून फाउंडेशन केवल शिक्षा और कौशल विकास तक सीमित नहीं है, बल्कि पर्यावरण के प्रति जागरूक और जिम्मेदार नागरिकों के निर्माण का कार्य भी कर रहा है। हरेला पर्व का यह आयोजन परंपरा और कार्य का सुंदर संगम रहा, जिसने यह संदेश दिया कि त्योहार समाज में वास्तविक और स्थायी बदलाव लाने का माध्यम बन सकते हैं।
