The inauguration of the “Samoon Sewing Training Centre” was successfully held on 08/09/2019 at Village Tundangi, Devprayag. The event witnessed active participation from members of Samoon Foundation along with villagers and local residents, who expressed great enthusiasm and happiness on the opening of the centre.

A strong interest was shown by women and girls in learning tailoring skills, and immediately 20 applications were received for training enrollment.

The training centre will be conducted under the guidance of Ms. Sheela, a trained instructor who holds 2 years of experience along with a 1-year diploma under the Skill Development Ministry. She will be responsible for training rural women and helping them become self-reliant.

The initiative has been widely appreciated by local residents for promoting women empowerment and rural self-sustainability. Samoon Foundation expresses heartfelt gratitude to all donors who supported this noble initiative:

ग्राम तुणगी, देवप्रयाग में दिनांक 08/09/2019 को “समूण सिलाई प्रशिक्षण केंद्र” का भव्य उद्घाटन किया गया। इस कार्यक्रम में समूण परिवार के सदस्यों के साथ-साथ ग्रामीणों एवं क्षेत्रवासियों ने बढ़-चढ़कर भाग लिया तथा केंद्र खुलने पर प्रसन्नता व्यक्त की।

महिलाओं एवं बालिकाओं ने सिलाई प्रशिक्षण सीखने में विशेष रुचि दिखाई और तत्काल 20 आवेदन प्राप्त हुए।

इस केंद्र में प्रशिक्षण का कार्य शीला जी द्वारा किया जाएगा, जिनके पास 2 वर्ष का अनुभव एवं कौशल विकास मंत्रालय के अंतर्गत 1 वर्ष का डिप्लोमा है। वे ग्रामीण महिलाओं को प्रशिक्षण देकर उन्हें आत्मनिर्भर बनाने का कार्य करेंगी।

इस पहल की क्षेत्रवासियों द्वारा महिलाओं के सशक्तिकरण एवं आत्मनिर्भरता की दिशा में एक महत्वपूर्ण कदम के रूप में सराहना की गई। समूण फाउंडेशन इस कार्य में सहयोग देने वाले सभी दानदाताओं का हार्दिक आभार व्यक्त करता है:
