Inauguration of Samoon Skill Development Centre (SSDC-11)

Completing 14 years of dedicated service towards women empowerment in Uttarakhand, Samoon Foundation achieved another significant milestone with the inauguration of its 11th Free Sewing and Knitting Training Centre (SSDC-11) on 24 June 2024 in Soud Village, Tehri Garhwal.
SSDC-11 is not just a training facility but a platform for transformation, designed to provide rural women with essential sewing and knitting skills, helping them move towards economic self-reliance and improved livelihood opportunities. Through this initiative, Samoon Foundation continues its mission of empowering women by providing practical training and encouraging entrepreneurship at the grassroots level.
Following the success of previous centres, SSDC-11 focuses on skill development programs that enable women to create opportunities for income generation and become more confident in their abilities. During the inauguration ceremony, Regional Manager Mr. Vijendra Kumar highlighted the Foundation’s wider initiatives in the region, including computer education, academic coaching, and healthcare services. These combined efforts reflect Samoon Foundation’s vision of holistic community development, benefiting hundreds of women, girls, and students across rural Uttarakhand.
The inauguration ceremony was led by Mr. Prahlad Singh Jethudi and witnessed enthusiastic participation from local women, young girls, community members, and social representatives. The people of Soud Village welcomed this initiative with great enthusiasm and expressed their gratitude for bringing such an important opportunity closer to their community.
Representing the village community, Mr. Jagmohan Singh Jethudi expressed heartfelt appreciation for Samoon Foundation’s timely and meaningful contribution towards women empowerment and rural development.
With the establishment of SSDC-11, Samoon Foundation continues to strengthen its belief that empowered women form the foundation of strong communities. उत्तराखंड में महिला सशक्तिकरण के क्षेत्र में 14 वर्षों की समर्पित सेवा पूर्ण करते हुए समून फाउंडेशन ने 24 जून 2024 को सौड़ गांव, टिहरी गढ़वाल में अपने 11वें निःशुल्क सिलाई एवं बुनाई प्रशिक्षण केंद्र (SSDC-11) का शुभारंभ किया।
SSDC-11 केवल एक प्रशिक्षण केंद्र नहीं, बल्कि ग्रामीण महिलाओं के जीवन में सकारात्मक परिवर्तन लाने का एक माध्यम है। इस केंद्र के माध्यम से महिलाओं को सिलाई और बुनाई जैसे उपयोगी कौशल प्रदान किए जाएंगे, जिससे वे आर्थिक रूप से आत्मनिर्भर बन सकें और आजीविका के नए अवसर प्राप्त कर सकें।
पिछले केंद्रों की सफलता की परंपरा को आगे बढ़ाते हुए SSDC-11 में कौशल विकास प्रशिक्षण पर विशेष ध्यान दिया जाएगा, जिससे महिलाएं स्वरोजगार और उद्यमिता की दिशा में आगे बढ़ सकें। उद्घाटन समारोह के दौरान क्षेत्रीय प्रबंधक श्री विजेंद्र कुमार ने समून फाउंडेशन द्वारा क्षेत्र में किए जा रहे अन्य कार्यों जैसे कंप्यूटर शिक्षा, शैक्षणिक कोचिंग और स्वास्थ्य सेवाओं के बारे में जानकारी दी। ये सभी पहलें ग्रामीण उत्तराखंड में समग्र विकास और सशक्तिकरण के फाउंडेशन के दृष्टिकोण को दर्शाती हैं।
उद्घाटन कार्यक्रम का नेतृत्व श्री प्रह्लाद सिंह जेठुड़ी द्वारा किया गया। इस अवसर पर बड़ी संख्या में स्थानीय महिलाएं, बालिकाएं, ग्रामीण एवं समुदाय के प्रतिनिधि उपस्थित रहे। सौड़ गांव के लोगों ने इस पहल का उत्साहपूर्वक स्वागत किया और अपने क्षेत्र में इस महत्वपूर्ण अवसर के लिए समून फाउंडेशन के प्रति आभार व्यक्त किया।
ग्राम समुदाय की ओर से श्री जगमोहन सिंह जेठुड़ी ने समून फाउंडेशन द्वारा महिला सशक्तिकरण और ग्रामीण विकास के लिए किए जा रहे इस सार्थक प्रयास की सराहना करते हुए धन्यवाद व्यक्त किया।
SSDC-11 की स्थापना के साथ समून फाउंडेशन इस विश्वास को और मजबूत करता है कि सशक्त महिलाएं मजबूत समाज की आधारशिला होती हैं। यह केंद्र केवल कौशल सीखने का स्थान नहीं, बल्कि महिलाओं के लिए आशा, आत्मविश्वास और अवसर का प्रतीक है, जो उन्हें अपने भविष्य को बेहतर बनाने और अपने परिवार एवं गांव के विकास में योगदान देने के लिए सक्षम बनाएगा।
