Bringing Rajamani home(राजामणि की घर वापसी)

Rajamani, a South Indian laborer working at a restaurant in Sharjah, was forced to work without salary. When he asked for wages, the owner threatened to kill him and even called his family in India to harass his wife and children. Desperate to return home but denied his passport, he reached out to Team Samoon.  
We first sought help from the Indian Association in Sharjah. When support didn’t come, we filed a complaint with the Ministry of Labour. The owner was summoned and ordered to send Rajamani back without harassment. After further intervention with the Immigration Department, his passport and ticket were returned within a month. Today, Rajamani is safely back in India. Many like him still suffer in silence — our effort is to stand with each one.

शारजाह में एक रेस्टोरेंट में काम करने वाले दक्षिण भारतीय मजदूर राजामणि से बिना सैलरी के काम कराया जा रहा था। तनख्वाह मांगने पर मालिक ने उसे मारने की धमकी दी और भारत में उसके परिवार को भी धमकाया। राजामणि भारत लौटना चाहता था, लेकिन पासपोर्ट नहीं दिया जा रहा था।  
जब वह हमारे पास आया तो हमने पहले शारजाह में इंडियन एसोसिएशन से मदद मांगी। सहयोग न मिलने पर मिनिस्ट्री ऑफ लेबर में शिकायत दर्ज की। मालिक को बुलाया गया और राजामणि को बिना परेशान किए भारत भेजने का आदेश दिया गया। इमिग्रेशन डिपार्टमेंट में शिकायत के बाद एक महीने में उसका पासपोर्ट और टिकट वापस मिला। आज राजामणि सुरक्षित भारत लौट चुका है। ऐसे न जाने कितने राजामणि अभी भी यातनाएं सह रहे हैं — हमारी कोशिश हर एक के साथ खड़े होने की है।
