Menstrual Hygiene Awareness Initiative with ‘Mystripedia’ Distribution

With the objective of spreading awareness about menstrual hygiene and health among girls and women, Samoon Foundation, in collaboration with Pagariya Welfare Foundation, organized the distribution of the ‘Mystripedia’ comic book.
As part of this initiative, the Samoon Computer Training Institute, Rudraprayag distributed Mystripedia books to girls aged 9 years and above at Government Inter College, Tilaknagar, Sumari, Tilwada. Similarly, in Akhodi, Tehri Garhwal, Mystripedia books were distributed to women and girls attending the stitching centre operated with the support of THDC.
Menstruation is a natural and essential part of a woman’s life, yet it continues to be treated as a taboo subject in society. Open conversations about periods are extremely important, especially for young girls experiencing it for the first time.
The onset of menstruation often brings feelings of fear, confusion, anxiety, and uncertainty among young girls. Lack of awareness about this natural biological process can make the situation even more stressful.
Through this initiative, Samoon Foundation aims to provide accurate, age-appropriate information to girls and women, helping them understand menstruation better, overcome hesitation, and manage their health with confidence and dignity.

मासिक धर्म स्वच्छता जागरूकता हेतु ‘मेंस्ट्रुपीडिया’ वितरण अभियान

बालिकाओं एवं महिलाओं को मासिक धर्म स्वच्छता और स्वास्थ्य के प्रति जागरूक करने के उद्देश्य से समूण फाउंडेशन ने पगारिया वेलफेयर फाउंडेशन के साथ मिलकर ‘मेंस्ट्रुपीडिया’ कॉमिक बुक का वितरण किया।
इसी क्रम में समूण कंप्यूटर प्रशिक्षण संस्थान, रुद्रप्रयाग द्वारा गवर्नमेंट इंटर कॉलेज, तिलकनगर, सुमाड़ी, तिलवाड़ा में 9 वर्ष से अधिक आयु की बालिकाओं को मेंस्ट्रुपीडिया बुक वितरित की गई। वहीं टिहरी गढ़वाल के अखोड़ी में THDC के सहयोग से संचालित सिलाई केंद्र में प्रशिक्षण ले रही महिलाओं एवं बालिकाओं को भी यह पुस्तकें प्रदान की गईं।
महिलाओं के जीवन का एक महत्वपूर्ण हिस्सा होने के बावजूद मासिक धर्म (पीरियड्स) आज भी समाज में एक संकोच का विषय बना हुआ है। इसके बारे में खुलकर बात करने से लोग हिचकिचाते हैं, जबकि इस विषय पर खुली चर्चा अत्यंत आवश्यक है, विशेषकर तब जब किशोरियों में इसकी शुरुआत होती है।
पहली बार पीरियड्स आने पर बालिकाओं के मन में घबराहट, डर, असमंजस और चिंता उत्पन्न होती है। सही जानकारी के अभाव में यह स्थिति और भी कठिन हो जाती है।
ऐसे में सही एवं उचित जानकारी प्रदान करना न केवल इस प्राकृतिक प्रक्रिया को समझने में मदद करता है, बल्कि बालिकाओं को पीरियड्स के दौरान आत्मविश्वास के साथ सामान्य जीवन जीने में भी सक्षम बनाता है।
