On October 5, 2024, the Samoon Foundation advanced its ongoing commitment to educational equity and well-being by distributing sweaters to students at
Government Primary School Khetu in Tehri Garhwal, Uttarakhand. This latest stop in
the Foundation’s expansive uniform campaign brought warmth and encouragement
to children in one of the region’s remote communities.
The event witnessed the dedicated participation of Mr. Jai Prakash Chamoli, a long-
standing member of the Samoon Foundation, who facilitated the distribution. The
school’s teacher, Mr. Pradeep Narayan Ji, expressed deep gratitude, stating,
“We are thankful to every individual and organisation that made this initiative possible. Their
Support is a true investment in our children’s future”.
Assistant teacher Sanjay Ji echoed this sentiment, highlighting the broader impact: “This is not just a distribution of clothing — it is a step toward the moral and educational development of our
students.
” Parents also lauded the Foundation’s efforts, recognizing the initiative’s
positive influence on their children’s self-confidence and school participation.
Consistent with its mission, the Samoon Foundation continues to provide essential
resources while fostering a nurturing educational environment for children in under-
resourced areas.
