On a crisp February morning in Birkatal, nestled in the serene hills of Pauri Garhwal, a
sense of anticipation filled the Anganwadi Center. On February 1, 2025, the Samoon
Foundation arrived, not just with sweaters and chocolates in hand, but with a mission
to kindle confidence and curiosity in the hearts of young learners.
The event began with a delightful surprise— children proudly stood before their peers,
reciting poems they had rehearsed with care. The room, once quiet, echoed with the
sound of budding voices, reflecting both talent and self- assurance. This small yet
powerful showcase set the stage for the day’s distribution, turning it into a
celebration of learning rather than a simple handout.
Mrs. Sarita Devi, the Chief Anganwadi Worker, spoke with heartfelt conviction about the
ripple eff ects of such support, emphasizing how these acts of kindness elevate
children’s confidence and sharpen their interest in studies. Parents and the
Anganwadi Assistant joined in the praise, recognizing the initiative as a thoughtful
investment in their children’s futures.
As warm sweaters found their way into tiny arms and chocolates brought smiles to
little faces, the Samoon Foundation stood true to its mission: to uplift underprivileged
children through education, empowerment, and care. The visible spark of enthusiasm
among the children was more than a moment— it was a milestone, reminding all
present that warmth can nurture not just bodies, but dreams.
