Children’s Smiles Shine Bright: Samoon Foundation Brings Winter Cheer to Ghaikhal

   Date - Friday, 31 january 2025

On January 31 , 2025, laughter and joy filled the chilly air of Ghaikhal village in Pauri

Garhwal as the Samoon Foundation arrived at the local Anganwadi Center, arms full of

warm sweaters and hearts full of purpose. Children’s beaming faces said it all— the

winter chill had met its match in the form of thoughtful care and colorful wool.

Leading the charge, Mr. Raju Bhatt, a representative of the Foundation, went beyond

mere distribution. He turned the event into a celebration— guiding the children

through cheerful educational games, sharing simple lessons, and ending with

chocolates that made young eyes sparkle. It wasn’t just about warmth; it was about

connection, confidence, and joy.

Mrs. Vishweshwari Devi, the Chief Anganwadi Worker, observed how the sweaters weredoing more than keeping children warm— they were fostering an environment of

comfort, focus, and readiness to learn. Mrs. Seema Devi, Chairperson of the Anganwadi

Committee, echoed that sentiment, calling the eff ort a meaningful stride toward

securing a better- educated future for the village's youngest minds.

The gathering was joined by Mrs. Babita Devi, Village Deputy Head, along with ward

members, parents, and the Anganwadi staff , all of whom applauded the Foundation’s

continued compassion. Through eff orts like these, the Samoon Foundation not only

warms bodies but inspires hearts— firm in its belief that confident, healthy children

are the cornerstone of a brighter, more self- reliant society.
