Warm Hearts in the Hills: Samoon Foundation Brings Hope to Bagi Village

Date - Monday, 13 january 2025

On a crisp January morning, nestled among the hills of Tehri Garhwal, the quiet

Anganwadi Center in Bagi village buzzed with excitement. Children’s eyes sparkled—

not just from the cold, but from the joy of receiving warm, cozy sweaters from the

Samoon Foundation. This heartwarming initiative, carried out on January  13, 2025,

was more than a gesture of seasonal aid; it was a step toward securing theireducation and well- being.

Mrs. Usha Devi, the Anganwadi worker who has long witnessed the challenges faced

by the village's youngest learners, shared with quiet pride,

“These sweaters do more

than shield them from the cold— they keep their dreams alive. When children feel safe

and cared for, they learn better.

” Her assistant, Mrs. Guddi Devi, echoed her sentiment, pointing out how vital such support is in remote, underserved areas where resources are often scarce.

Representing the Samoon Foundation, Mr. Tejpal Bagiyal stood among parents and

staff , speaking not just of the day's event but of a vision— one where every child,

regardless of geography or background, is equipped to thrive. The gratitude in the

parents’ eyes said it all: this wasn’t just winter relief, it was a spark of hope.

Through initiatives like this, the Samoon Foundation continues to thread warmth,

dignity, and opportunity into the fabric of rural childhoods— ensuring no child is left

behind in the cold.
