Providing accessible, high-quality education in the remote, high-altitude regions of the Himalayas comes with significant logistical and economic challenges. To ensure that students in these vulnerable terrains can study without interruption, the Samoon Foundation has been driving a collective campaign to elevate educational standards at Samoon Adarsh Vidyalaya in Osla village. Sustaining this long-term educational mission requires deep community trust and consistent institutional backing.
A major pillar of this ongoing educational transformation has been the selfless support of structural donor Mr. Laxman Singh Butola. Originally hailing from Rudraprayag and currently operating a successful business internationally, Mr. Butola has demonstrated a deep commitment to giving back to his roots. His generous financial sponsorships successfully covered critical operational and academic overheads for the students during the consecutive academic sessions of 2023–24, 2024–25, and 2025–26.
Continuing this unbroken tradition of support into the new academic session of 2026–27, a complete consignment of educational stationery has successfully been procured and distributed to all students studying at the Osla school. This comprehensive distribution ensures that every child in the facility has access to the essential learning materials required for their daily curriculum, relieving local families of additional financial burdens ahead of the school term.
Long-term interventions like these do more than just provide notebooks and pens; they actively safeguard the future of rural youth by keeping the ancient tradition of "Vidya Daan" (the gift of knowledge) alive. The strategic distribution of these assets ensures that geography does not limit a child's potential. The Samoon Foundation, alongside the local faculty and parents of Osla village, extends its formal appreciation to its dedicated donors whose continuous support gives new wings to the dreams of children living in the mountains.
हिमालय के सुदूरवर्ती और दुर्गम पर्वतीय क्षेत्रों में बच्चों के लिए गुणवत्तापूर्ण शिक्षा सुनिश्चित करना एक बड़ी भौगोलिक और आर्थिक चुनौती है। इस चुनौती को दूर करने और सीमांत क्षेत्र के बच्चों को शिक्षा के बेहतर अवसर प्रदान करने के उद्देश्य से, समूण फाउंडेशन द्वारा ग्राम ओसला स्थित 'समूण आदर्श विद्यालय' में निरंतर सामूहिक प्रयास किए जा रहे हैं। शिक्षा के इस पुनीत अभियान को जमीन पर बनाए रखने के लिए दीर्घकालिक सहयोग और गहरी संवेदनशीलता की आवश्यकता होती है।
ओसला विद्यालय के इस शैक्षिक सफर को मजबूत बनाने में प्रवासी व्यवसायी श्री लक्ष्मण सिंह बुटोला जी का निरंतर और निस्वार्थ सहयोग एक मुख्य स्तंभ रहा है। मूल रूप से रुद्रप्रयाग की माटी से जुड़े होने और वर्तमान में विदेश में अपना सफल व्यवसाय संचालित करने के बावजूद, बुटोला जी ने अपनी जड़ों और पर्वतीय समाज के प्रति एक अनुकरणीय उदाहरण प्रस्तुत किया है। उनके उदार वित्तीय सहयोग से शैक्षणिक सत्र 2023-24, 2024-25 और 2025-26 के दौरान विद्यालय के बच्चों की शिक्षा को निरंतर गति मिली।
इसी सेवा यात्रा को आगे बढ़ाते हुए, नए शैक्षणिक सत्र 2026-27 के लिए भी विद्यालय में अध्ययनरत सभी छात्र-छात्राओं के लिए पूर्ण शिक्षण सामग्री (स्टेशनरी) की व्यवस्था सुनिश्चित कर वितरित कर दी गई है। इस समयबद्ध वितरण का मुख्य उद्देश्य सत्र की शुरुआत में ही हर बच्चे के हाथ में आवश्यक किताबें और कॉपियां पहुंचाना है, ताकि दुर्गम क्षेत्र के इन बच्चों की पढ़ाई में कोई बाधा न आए और उनके माता-पिता पर भी अतिरिक्त आर्थिक बोझ न पड़े।
यह निरंतर सहयोग केवल एक आर्थिक मदद नहीं है, बल्कि यह सच्चे अर्थों में "विद्यादान" की महान परंपरा को जीवंत रखने का प्रयास है। यह संसाधन पर्वतीय क्षेत्र के होनहार नौनिहालों के सपनों को एक नई उड़ान दे रहे हैं। समूण फाउंडेशन, ओसला विद्यालय के समस्त शिक्षकों, बच्चों और अभिभावकों की ओर से अपने सभी समर्पित दानदाताओं का आभार व्यक्त करता है, जिनकी अटूट प्रतिबद्धता से पहाड़ों में शिक्षा का उजाला फैल रहा है।
