In the peaceful hills of Kurn village, Tehri Garhwal, lived a courageous young woman named Gauri, whose life journey reflected immense strength and resilience. Gauri faced hardships from an early age, losing her mother during infancy, her father at the age of three, and both grandparents by the time she was ten years old.

After these difficult losses, Gauri and her younger brother Aadesh were lovingly brought up by their paternal uncle, Shri Soban Singh, a hardworking daily wage labourer who ensured that the children received care, support, and a sense of family despite challenging circumstances.

Throughout their journey, Samoon Foundation remained a constant source of support, helping the family in their education and overall well-being. When Shri Soban Singh approached the foundation seeking assistance for Gauri’s wedding scheduled on 22 April 2024, Samoon Foundation immediately stepped forward to help.

With the support of its compassionate donors, the foundation organized assistance for Gauri’s wedding. Contributors including Lakshan Singh Butola, Dinesh Chandra Nautiyal, and Hemant Nayal extended their generous support towards this noble cause.

Through this collective effort, Samoon Foundation provided essential wedding items worth ₹35,000, ensuring that Gauri’s special day was celebrated with dignity, happiness, and respect. Beyond the material assistance, the initiative gave Gauri the confidence that she was surrounded by a caring community that stood beside her during an important new chapter of her life.

विवाह सहायता पहल

टिहरी गढ़वाल के पहाड़ों में बसे शांत गांव कुर्न में रहने वाली एक साहसी युवती गौरी का जीवन संघर्षों और हिम्मत की मिसाल है। गौरी ने बचपन से ही कई कठिन परिस्थितियों का सामना किया। शैशव अवस्था में ही उन्होंने अपनी माता को खो दिया, तीन वर्ष की आयु में पिता का साया भी उठ गया और दस वर्ष की उम्र तक उनके दादा-दादी भी नहीं रहे।

इन दुखद परिस्थितियों के बाद गौरी और उनके छोटे भाई आदेश का पालन-पोषण उनके चाचा श्री सोबन सिंह ने किया। श्री सोबन सिंह एक मेहनती दिहाड़ी मजदूर हैं, जिन्होंने सीमित संसाधनों के बावजूद दोनों बच्चों को प्यार, देखभाल और परिवार का सहारा दिया।

गौरी और आदेश की शिक्षा एवं जीवन यात्रा में समून फाउंडेशन निरंतर सहयोग और मार्गदर्शन का आधार बना रहा। जब श्री सोबन सिंह ने 22 अप्रैल 2024 को होने वाले गौरी के विवाह के लिए संस्था से सहायता का अनुरोध किया, तो समून फाउंडेशन ने बिना किसी विलंब के सहयोग का निर्णय लिया।

फाउंडेशन ने अपने सहयोगी दानदाताओं के माध्यम से इस शुभ कार्य में सहायता जुटाई। श्री लक्ष्मण सिंह बुटोला, श्री दिनेश चंद्र नौटियाल और श्री हेमंत नयाल सहित कई सहयोगियों ने इस नेक कार्य में अपना योगदान दिया।

Empowering Futures through Digital Literacy – The Launch of SCTI04 (डिजिटल साक्षरता के माध्यम से भविष्य को सशक्त बनाना – SCTI04 का शुभारंभ)

In the era of rapid digital transformation, many young people in rural and underserved communities remain deprived of essential technical skills needed for the future. Recognizing this growing need, Samoon Foundation envisioned bridging the digital gap and empowering youth through accessible computer education.

This vision took a meaningful step forward on 1 April 2024 with the inauguration of Samoon Computer Training Institute SCTI-04 in Shyampur, Rishikesh. More than just a training centre, SCTI-04 represents a new opportunity for students and youth to gain knowledge, confidence, and skills required to move ahead in the digital world.

The inauguration ceremony was filled with enthusiasm and positivity. The event was graced by Mr. Deveshwar Prasad Raturi, a former Air Force officer, who highlighted the importance of discipline and dedication in achieving success. The ceremony was further enriched by the presence of respected spiritual personalities Mr. Chaitanya Leela Das and Sannyasi Shri Deen Gopal Das, who shared valuable thoughts on the importance of balancing technical education with spiritual values for overall development.

The establishment of SCTI-04 reflected the strength of collective community support. The initiative was led by Mr. Vijay Mohan Painuly, Vice President of Samoon Foundation, and successfully executed with the dedication of the entire Samoon team. Social workers, community representatives, and local residents participated enthusiastically, including notable supporters such as Mr. Ram Ratan Raturi and Mr. Mintu Chauhan, united by the common vision of creating better opportunities for hundreds of children.

डिजिटल क्रांति के इस युग में भी अनेक युवा आवश्यक तकनीकी ज्ञान और कंप्यूटर शिक्षा से वंचित हैं, जो भविष्य में उनके विकास के लिए अत्यंत आवश्यक है। इस आवश्यकता को समझते हुए समून फाउंडेशन ने डिजिटल अंतर को कम करने और जरूरतमंद समुदायों के युवाओं को सशक्त बनाने का संकल्प लिया।

इसी उद्देश्य को आगे बढ़ाते हुए 1 अप्रैल 2024 को श्यामपुर, ऋषिकेश में समून कंप्यूटर ट्रेनिंग इंस्टीट्यूट SCTI-04 का शुभारंभ किया गया। यह केंद्र केवल एक प्रशिक्षण संस्थान नहीं, बल्कि युवाओं के लिए नई संभावनाओं, आत्मविश्वास और डिजिटल कौशल का एक माध्यम है।

उद्घाटन समारोह उत्साह और सकारात्मक ऊर्जा से भरा रहा। कार्यक्रम में मुख्य रूप से पूर्व वायुसेना अधिकारी श्री देवेश्वर प्रसाद रतूड़ी उपस्थित रहे, जिन्होंने सफलता प्राप्त करने के लिए अनुशासन और समर्पण के महत्व पर अपने विचार रखे। इसके अतिरिक्त पूज्य संत श्री चैतन्य लीला दास एवं संन्यासी श्री दीन गोपाल दास ने तकनीकी शिक्षा के साथ आध्यात्मिक मूल्यों के संतुलन को जीवन के समग्र विकास के लिए महत्वपूर्ण बताया।

The Samoon Foundation received a request for help from a financially struggling family seeking support for Ankita’s medical treatment. Understanding the seriousness of the situation, the foundation immediately stepped forward and provided financial assistance of ₹10,000 towards her medicines.

Ankita’s husband works as a driver, and due to limited income, the family was already facing financial difficulties. A major part of their earnings was being spent on Ankita’s treatment. After undergoing two surgeries, Ankita developed wounds in her abdomen, which required continuous medication and care. However, due to their weak financial condition, the family was often unable to maintain regular treatment.

When the family approached the Samoon Foundation for assistance, the foundation responded promptly and provided ₹10,000 financial support to help continue Ankita’s medication. With this support, her treatment became regular, and her health condition has gradually started improving.

This initiative reflects Samoon Foundation’s commitment to supporting families in difficult situations and ensuring that financial challenges do not prevent people from receiving necessary healthcare.

अंकिता के उपचार हेतु चिकित्सा सहायता

समून फाउंडेशन को एक आर्थिक रूप से कमजोर परिवार से अंकिता के उपचार हेतु सहायता की अपील प्राप्त हुई। परिवार की स्थिति को समझते हुए फाउंडेशन ने तुरंत पहल की और अंकिता की दवाइयों के लिए ₹10,000 की आर्थिक सहायता प्रदान की।

अंकिता के पति ड्राइवर का कार्य करते हैं और उनकी आय सीमित है। परिवार की आर्थिक स्थिति पहले से ही कमजोर थी, वहीं अंकिता के इलाज में आय का एक बड़ा हिस्सा खर्च हो रहा था। दो बार सर्जरी होने के बाद अंकिता के पेट में घाव हो गए थे, जिसके लिए लगातार दवाइयों और देखभाल की आवश्यकता थी। लेकिन आर्थिक परेशानियों के कारण परिवार कई बार उनका उपचार नियमित रूप से जारी नहीं रख पा रहा था।

परिवार द्वारा समून फाउंडेशन से सहायता मांगे जाने पर संस्था ने तुरंत सहयोग प्रदान किया और दवाइयों के लिए ₹10,000 की आर्थिक सहायता दी। फाउंडेशन की सहायता से अंकिता का उपचार नियमित रूप से जारी हो सका और अब उनके स्वास्थ्य में धीरे-धीरे सुधार हो रहा है।

Medical & Basic Needs Support Initiative for an Elderly Mother

The Samoon Foundation extended support to an elderly mother and her family who were facing severe financial and health-related challenges. On 17 March 2024, the Samoon team visited her home, arranged medical treatment for her grandson, provided essential medicines, supplied ration for two months, and offered ₹1,500 in cash assistance for future medical needs.

The elderly woman was noticed begging in Rishikesh by Samoon family member Mrs. Rajni Rana. Seeing her difficult situation, Rajni approached her and asked about the circumstances that had forced her to seek help at such an advanced age.

The elderly mother shared that her husband had passed away many years ago, after which she was living with her daughter. Unfortunately, her daughter’s husband also passed away, leaving behind their son who later got married and had two children. Tragically, the daughter-in-law also passed away, and due to this unbearable loss and circumstances, the son suffered severe mental distress and eventually went missing.

With no source of support, the elderly mother was forced to beg for survival. At the same time, her young grandson had suffered a fracture in his leg, but the family lacked the financial resources required for his treatment. To verify the situation, Samoon family member Mr. Jitendra Jerdhari immediately visited the elderly woman’s home and confirmed the family’s circumstances.

Understanding the urgent need for medical and basic support, the Samoon family appealed for assistance through social media. For four consecutive days, the Samoon team worked closely with the family, took the child to the hospital for treatment, purchased necessary medicines, provided ration supplies for the next two months, and gave ₹1,500 in cash for additional medication expenses. The team also assured the family of continued support whenever required.

This initiative reflects Samoon Foundation’s commitment to standing beside vulnerable families and providing help with compassion, dignity, and humanity.

वृद्ध माता एवं परिवार हेतु चिकित्सा व आवश्यक सहायता पहल

समून फाउंडेशन ने एक वृद्ध माता और उनके परिवार की कठिन परिस्थितियों को देखते हुए सहायता का हाथ बढ़ाया। 17 मार्च 2024 को समून टीम ने उनके घर पहुंचकर उनके पोते के टूटे हुए पैर का उपचार करवाया, आवश्यक दवाइयां खरीदीं, अगले दो महीने के लिए राशन उपलब्ध कराया और आगे की दवाइयों के लिए ₹1,500 की आर्थिक सहायता प्रदान की।

समून परिवार की सदस्य श्रीमती रजनी राणा ने ऋषिकेश में इस वृद्ध माता को भीख मांगते हुए देखा। उनकी स्थिति को देखकर उन्होंने उनके पास जाकर पूछा कि इस उम्र में उन्हें किन परिस्थितियों के कारण भीख मांगने के लिए मजबूर होना पड़ रहा है।

वृद्ध माता ने बताया कि उनके पति का निधन काफी समय पहले हो चुका था और वह अपनी बेटी के साथ रह रही थीं। कुछ समय बाद उनकी बेटी के पति का भी निधन हो गया। उनकी बेटी का बेटा बड़ा होकर विवाह कर चुका था और उसके दो बच्चे थे। दुर्भाग्यवश उसकी पत्नी (वृद्ध माता की बहू) का भी निधन हो गया, जिसके बाद बेटा मानसिक रूप से अत्यधिक परेशान हो गया और अब वह लापता है।

इन परिस्थितियों के कारण वृद्ध माता को जीवन यापन के लिए भीख मांगने को मजबूर होना पड़ा। इसी बीच उनके छोटे पोते का पैर टूट गया था, लेकिन परिवार के पास उसके उपचार के लिए पर्याप्त पैसे नहीं थे। स्थिति की वास्तविकता जानने के लिए समून परिवार के सदस्य श्री जितेंद्र झर्डहारी तुरंत वृद्ध माता के घर पहुंचे और पूरी स्थिति की पुष्टि की।

परिवार को बच्चे के इलाज और राशन की तत्काल आवश्यकता थी। इसके बाद समून परिवार ने सोशल मीडिया के माध्यम से सहायता की अपील की। चार दिनों तक समून टीम ने लगातार परिवार के संपर्क में रहकर बच्चे को अस्पताल ले जाकर उसका उपचार करवाया, दवाइयां उपलब्ध कराईं, अगले दो महीने के लिए राशन दिया और भविष्य की दवाइयों हेतु ₹1,500 की आर्थिक सहायता प्रदान की। साथ ही परिवार को आवश्यकता पड़ने पर आगे भी सहयोग का आश्वासन दिया।

यह पहल समून फाउंडेशन की मानवता, संवेदनशीलता और जरूरतमंद परिवारों के प्रति समर्पण को दर्शाती है।

Samoon Skill Development Centre, Computer Training Institute & Excellence Coaching Centre Inauguration

For the past 14 years, Samoon Foundation has been continuously working in the fields of education, skill development, women empowerment, environmental protection, and healthcare across Uttarakhand. The foundation’s mission is to reach remote villages and provide opportunities to those who genuinely need support through various initiatives such as free computer training for youth, sewing and knitting training centres, coaching centres, and schools to promote self-reliance among women and students.

Continuing this vision, on 10 March 2024, Samoon Foundation inaugurated its 8th Samoon Skill Development Centre at Gram Sabha Kurn, Patti – Bharpur. On the same occasion, the foundation also inaugurated its 3rd Samoon Computer Training Institute and 1st Samoon Excellence Coaching Centre in Saud village.

A large number of rural women, girls, and students actively participated in the inauguration program and showed great enthusiasm to enroll in sewing, computer training, and coaching programs. These centres aim to provide skill-based education and learning opportunities, helping rural communities move towards self-reliance and growth.

The inauguration ceremony was attended by former Gram Pradhan of Kurn Mr. Jagdish Singh, former Gram Pradhan of Saud Mr. Khushhal Singh, former Principal Mr. Ghamand Singh, MLA representative Mr. Mahendra Gusain, former Pradhan of Danad Mr. Harshpal, current Gram Panchayat member from Kurn Mrs. Shashi Devi, current Gram Panchayat member from Saud Mr. Dheerendra Rawat, along with Samoon Foundation representatives Mr. Veerendra Negi, Mr. Dheerendra Jethudi, Mr. Subhash Jethudi, Mr. Manohar Singh Rawat, Mr. Manoj Paliwal, and centre directors Mrs. Pinky Devi and Mr. Vijender Kumar.

पिछले 14 वर्षों से समून फाउंडेशन उत्तराखंड में शिक्षा, कौशल विकास, महिला सशक्तिकरण, पर्यावरण संरक्षण और स्वास्थ्य सेवा के क्षेत्र में निरंतर कार्य कर रहा है। संस्था का उद्देश्य दूरस्थ गांवों तक पहुंचकर जरूरतमंद लोगों को अवसर प्रदान करना है। इसी उद्देश्य के अंतर्गत युवाओं के लिए निःशुल्क कंप्यूटर प्रशिक्षण, महिलाओं को आत्मनिर्भर बनाने के लिए सिलाई एवं बुनाई प्रशिक्षण केंद्र, कोचिंग सेंटर और विद्यालयों का संचालन किया जा रहा है।

इसी क्रम को आगे बढ़ाते हुए 10 मार्च 2024 को समून फाउंडेशन ने ग्राम सभा कुर्न, पट्टी – भरपूर में अपने 8वें समून स्किल डेवलपमेंट सेंटर का शुभारंभ किया। इसी अवसर पर सौड़ गांव में संस्था के 3रे समून कंप्यूटर ट्रेनिंग इंस्टीट्यूट और प्रथम समून एक्सीलेंस कोचिंग सेंटर का भी उद्घाटन किया गया।

इस अवसर पर बड़ी संख्या में ग्रामीण महिलाएं, बालिकाएं और विद्यार्थी उत्साहपूर्वक शामिल हुए तथा सिलाई, कंप्यूटर प्रशिक्षण और कोचिंग कार्यक्रमों में प्रवेश लेने के लिए अपनी रुचि दिखाई। इन केंद्रों का उद्देश्य ग्रामीण क्षेत्रों में कौशल आधारित शिक्षा और प्रशिक्षण उपलब्ध कराकर लोगों को आत्मनिर्भर बनाना है।

The Samoon Foundation provided educational support to Anil Lal, a bright and hardworking student who has been pursuing his studies despite facing difficult circumstances. On 24 February 2024, the foundation transferred a scholarship amount of ₹16,200 towards Anil’s hostel fees, ensuring that his education continues without financial obstacles.

Anil Lal, a former student of Samoon Adarsh School, completed his classes 4 and 5 there and is currently studying at Gyan Jyoti School while staying in a hostel away from his village. He is a dedicated student who maintains 100% attendance in his class and has a strong determination to achieve success through education.

Five years ago, Anil lost his mother, and later his father also faced serious health challenges. Despite these hardships, Anil dreams of continuing his education and becoming capable of providing better care and support for his father. However, due to their weak financial condition, managing both his education expenses and his father’s treatment has been extremely difficult for the family.

The Samoon Foundation, along with running Samoon Adarsh School, has been providing scholarships to talented and underprivileged students for the past 12 years. Through this initiative, hundreds of deserving children have received educational support and opportunities to build a better future.

Continuing this mission, the foundation extended scholarship assistance of ₹16,200 to Anil Lal, contributing towards his hostel education expenses and encouraging him to continue his journey of learning and growth.

समून फाउंडेशन ने कठिन परिस्थितियों के बावजूद अपनी पढ़ाई जारी रखने वाले प्रतिभाशाली एवं मेहनती छात्र अनिल लाल को शैक्षिक सहायता प्रदान की। 24 फरवरी 2024 को फाउंडेशन द्वारा अनिल के विद्यालय में ₹16,200 की छात्रवृत्ति राशि हस्तांतरित की गई, जिससे उसकी हॉस्टल फीस का भुगतान हो सके और उसकी शिक्षा बिना किसी बाधा के जारी रह सके।

अनिल लाल समून आदर्श स्कूल के पूर्व छात्र हैं, जहां उन्होंने कक्षा 4 और 5 तक शिक्षा प्राप्त की। वर्तमान में वह अपने गांव से दूर रहकर “ज्ञान ज्योति स्कूल” में अध्ययन कर रहे हैं। अनिल पढ़ाई के प्रति अत्यंत समर्पित हैं और कक्षा में उनकी उपस्थिति 100% रहती है।

पांच वर्ष पूर्व अनिल ने अपनी माता को खो दिया था। इसके बाद उनके पिता भी मानसिक स्वास्थ्य संबंधी कठिनाइयों से गुजरने लगे। इन परिस्थितियों के बावजूद अनिल शिक्षा के माध्यम से सफलता प्राप्त करना चाहते हैं, ताकि भविष्य में अपने पिता के उपचार और परिवार का बेहतर सहारा बन सकें। लेकिन आर्थिक स्थिति कमजोर होने के कारण परिवार के लिए उसकी पढ़ाई और पिता के उपचार दोनों का खर्च उठाना कठिन हो रहा था।

समून फाउंडेशन अपने विद्यालय के संचालन के साथ-साथ पिछले 12 वर्षों से प्रतिभाशाली एवं जरूरतमंद बच्चों को छात्रवृत्ति प्रदान करता आ रहा है। इस पहल के माध्यम से अब तक सैकड़ों विद्यार्थियों को शिक्षा के क्षेत्र में सहयोग और बेहतर अवसर प्राप्त हुए हैं।

Medical Financial Assistance Support

The Samoon Family extended financial assistance to support the medical treatment of Miss Bindi, who is bravely fighting a serious illness like cancer. On 12 February 2024, the foundation provided a financial aid cheque of ₹17,000 to help ease the burden on her family.

Miss Bindi, a student of class 12 from Andrapa, Gairsain (Chamoli Garhwal), is currently undergoing treatment at AIIMS Rishikesh for a life-threatening illness. Having lost her father during childhood, her mother has been single-handedly supporting the family through a widow’s pension. The diagnosis of cancer brought immense emotional and financial challenges for the family.

Although her treatment is being supported under the Ayushman scheme, the family continues to struggle with additional expenses such as travel from Gairsain to Rishikesh, accommodation, food, and medicines. Upon learning about the Samoon Foundation, her mother approached the organization and submitted an application seeking help.

Understanding the urgency of the situation, the Samoon Foundation responded promptly and provided financial assistance of ₹17,000 on 12 February 2024. The foundation also assured continued support to the family during this difficult time.

This initiative reflects the commitment of the Samoon Foundation towards supporting those in need and standing beside families during their most challenging moments.

कु. बिंदी, ग्राम अंद्रापा, गैरसैंण (चमोली गढ़वाल) की 12वीं कक्षा की छात्रा हैं, जो वर्तमान में एम्स ऋषिकेश में अपना उपचार करा रही हैं। उनके पिता का निधन उनके बचपन में ही हो गया था, जिसके बाद उनकी माता विधवा पेंशन के सहारे परिवार का पालन-पोषण कर रही हैं। कैंसर जैसी गंभीर बीमारी की पुष्टि ने परिवार को गहरे दुःख और आर्थिक संकट में डाल दिया।

यद्यपि उनका उपचार आयुष्मान योजना के अंतर्गत चल रहा है, फिर भी गैरसैंण से ऋषिकेश आने-जाने का खर्च, रहने-खाने की व्यवस्था और दवाइयों के लिए परिवार के पास पर्याप्त साधन नहीं हैं। समून फाउंडेशन के बारे में जानकारी मिलने पर उनकी माता ने संस्था के कार्यालय में आवेदन किया।

स्थिति की गंभीरता को देखते हुए समून फाउंडेशन ने तुरंत सहायता प्रदान करते हुए 12 फरवरी 2024 को ₹17,000 की आर्थिक सहायता दी तथा आगे भी हर संभव सहयोग का आश्वासन दिया।

Winter Sweater Distribution & Community Engagement Program

On the crisp morning of 22 January 2025, the quiet lanes of Barnu 2 in Tehri Garhwal came alive with laughter and joy as children gathered at the local Anganwadi Center with excitement. The Samoon Foundation reached the village not only with warm sweaters but also with a spirit of care and compassion that brightened the entire community.

For the children, the sweaters were not just winter clothing but a symbol of warmth, love, and attention. The Foundation turned the distribution into a celebration by organizing games and distributing sweets, filling the day with smiles, laughter, and happiness.

The program was graced by the presence of Village Head Mrs. Sita Devi, who expressed that the Foundation’s visit brought “new hope and positive energy” to the village. Chief Anganwadi Worker Mrs. Vinita Rana described the initiative as a “blessing,” especially for children living in remote areas with limited resources. Mrs. Soni Rana, Chairperson of the Anganwadi Mothers’ Committee, appreciated the thoughtful inclusion of games and chocolates, stating that it truly uplifted the children’s spirits.

Representing the Samoon Foundation, Mr. Rajendra Singh Rangad interacted warmly with children and their parents, reinforcing the belief that every child deserves not only education but also joy, dignity, and encouragement. The Anganwadi Assistant and parents expressed their gratitude and appreciated the Foundation’s continuous efforts toward community welfare.

शीतकालीन स्वेटर वितरण एवं सामुदायिक कार्यक्रम

22 जनवरी 2025 की ठंडी सुबह में टिहरी गढ़वाल के बर्नू 2 गांव की शांत गलियां बच्चों की हंसी और उत्साह से गूंज उठीं, जब वे स्थानीय आंगनवाड़ी केंद्र पर एकत्रित हुए। समून फाउंडेशन यहां केवल गर्म स्वेटर ही नहीं, बल्कि अपने साथ स्नेह और संवेदनशीलता का संदेश भी लेकर पहुंचा, जिसने पूरे गांव को उत्साह से भर दिया।

बच्चों के लिए ये स्वेटर केवल सर्दियों के कपड़े नहीं थे, बल्कि प्यार, देखभाल और अपनापन का प्रतीक थे। इस अवसर को और खास बनाने के लिए फाउंडेशन ने खेलों और मिठाइयों का आयोजन किया, जिससे यह वितरण कार्यक्रम एक उत्सव में बदल गया और बच्चों के चेहरों पर खुशी और मुस्कान बिखर गई।

The Samoon Family proudly inaugurated its 7th Samoon Skill Development Centre on 13 January 2024 in the sacred land of Lord Kedarnath, located at Gram Sabha Nala in Ukhimath Block of Rudraprayag district. This initiative marks another step towards empowering rural communities through skill development and self-reliance.

The inauguration ceremony was graced by Chief Guest Mr. Chandra Singh Negi (Social Worker), Village Head Mrs. Kalpeshwari Devi, former Women’s Group President Mrs. Pushpa Devi, Centre Director Miss Shakshi, and representatives of the Samoon organization, Mr. Vikram Shah and Mr. Jitendra Jhardhari. The event also witnessed the presence of mothers and sisters from the village, making it a community-centered celebration.

This centre has been established with the continuous support of dedicated members and followers of the Samoon Family, who contribute through monthly donations. Their consistent contributions, though small individually, collectively play a significant role in supporting such impactful initiatives and spreading the spirit of service.

Blanket Distribution Drive

During the harsh winter months of December and January, while many of us stay protected in warm clothing, there are countless people who are forced to spend their nights in the open. Every year, extreme cold claims many lives, especially among women and children. Keeping this in mind, the Samoon Foundation continued its tradition of celebrating the New Year with a blanket distribution drive, a practice carried out consistently for the past eight years.

The campaign began on 8 January 2024 in Rishikesh, where blankets and warm clothes were distributed among the extremely poor and helpless individuals. On the night of 9 January, the Samoon Foundation team actively reached out to people sleeping on roadsides in areas such as IDPL, CT Gate, Triveni Ghat, Gumanivala, and Koyal Valley, covering them with warm blankets to protect them from the cold.

On 10 January 2024, the drive continued with the distribution of blankets to identified needy families in Shyampur and Khadri, Rishikesh. Along with nighttime efforts, the team also carried out daytime distribution in rural areas, ensuring that maximum support could reach those in need.

The objective of this initiative was not only to provide warmth during extreme winters but also to spread awareness about helping the underprivileged and encouraging others to contribute towards such humanitarian causes. Samoon Foundation remains committed to serving humanity and continues to work towards making a meaningful difference in society.

कम्बल वितरण अभियान

स्थान: ऋषिकेश (श्यामपुर, खदरी, आईडीपीएल, त्रिवेणी घाट एवं आसपास के क्षेत्र), उत्तराखंड

दिसंबर और जनवरी की कड़ाके की ठंड में, जहाँ हम सभी गर्म कपड़ों में सुरक्षित रहते हैं, वहीं कई लोग खुले आसमान के नीचे रात बिताने को मजबूर होते हैं। हर वर्ष ठंड के कारण कई लोगों, विशेषकर महिलाओं और बच्चों की जान चली जाती है। इसी को ध्यान में रखते हुए, समून फाउंडेशन ने पिछले आठ वर्षों की परंपरा को जारी रखते हुए इस वर्ष भी नववर्ष की शुरुआत कम्बल वितरण अभियान के साथ की।

यह अभियान 8 जनवरी 2024 को ऋषिकेश में शुरू हुआ, जहाँ अत्यंत गरीब एवं असहाय लोगों को कम्बल और गर्म कपड़े वितरित किए गए। 9 जनवरी की रात को टीम समून ने आईडीपीएल, सीटी गेट, त्रिवेणी घाट, गुमानीवाला और कोयल वैली जैसे क्षेत्रों में सड़कों पर सो रहे जरूरतमंद लोगों को कम्बल ओढ़ाकर उन्हें ठंड से बचाने का प्रयास किया।

10 जनवरी 2024 को यह अभियान आगे बढ़ाते हुए श्यामपुर और खदरी, ऋषिकेश के चिन्हित जरूरतमंद परिवारों को कम्बल वितरित किए गए। इसके साथ ही दिन के समय ग्रामीण क्षेत्रों में भी वितरण कार्य किया गया, ताकि अधिक से अधिक जरूरतमंदों तक सहायता पहुंच सके।

इस अभियान का उद्देश्य केवल ठंड से राहत प्रदान करना ही नहीं, बल्कि लोगों को जरूरतमंदों की सहायता के लिए प्रेरित करना भी था। समून फाउंडेशन मानवता की सेवा के लिए समर्पित है और समाज में सकारात्मक बदलाव लाने हेतु निरंतर कार्यरत है।
