*Diwali Relief & House Renovation Initiative*

While most of us celebrate Diwali with lights and fireworks, Samoon Foundation believes in spreading real light by helping those in need. Just two weeks before Diwali, a tragic incident struck the family of Anju Negi in Virbhadra, Rishikesh.

On 21/10/2018, a massive fire broke out in their house due to a gas cylinder accident. The fire completely destroyed their two-room home, which they had built with great difficulty through lifelong savings, loans, and support from relatives and friends. Doors, windows, furniture, utensils, cupboards, electrical appliances, and wiring — everything was reduced to ashes.

Although nearby residents extended immediate help by providing basic necessities like clothes, a gas stove, and temporary support, rebuilding their life was a major challenge for this extremely underprivileged family.

With the spirit of humanity and compassion, Samoon Foundation took the responsibility to renovate the burnt house and help the family return to normal life. With the support of generous donors and well-wishers, the renovation work was successfully completed on 10/11/2018.

Additionally, a cheque of ₹11,000 was provided to the family to help them purchase essential household items.

This initiative reflects the true meaning of Diwali — bringing light back into someone’s life. Samoon Foundation extends heartfelt gratitude to all donors and supporters who contributed to this noble cause.

*दीपावली राहत एवं मकान पुनर्निर्माण पहल*

*दिनांक: 21 अक्टूबर 2018 – 10 नवम्बर 2018*

*स्थान: वीरभद्र, ऋषिकेश, उत्तराखंड*

जहां एक ओर हम सभी दीपावली पर अपने घरों को सजाकर खुशियां मनाते हैं, वहीं समूण परिवार का उद्देश्य जरूरतमंदों के जीवन में वास्तविक उजाला लाना है। दीपावली से ठीक दो सप्ताह पहले वीरभद्र, ऋषिकेश में अंजू नेगी जी के परिवार के साथ एक अत्यंत दुखद घटना घटी।

दिनांक 21/10/2018 को गैस सिलेंडर में आग लगने के कारण उनके घर में भीषण आग लग गई, जिसमें उनका दो कमरों का पूरा घर जलकर राख हो गया। यह घर उन्होंने अपनी जीवनभर की जमा पूंजी, रिश्तेदारों और मित्रों के सहयोग से बड़ी मुश्किल से बनाया था। आग में दरवाजे, खिड़कियां, बर्तन, अलमारी, बिजली के उपकरण और पूरी वायरिंग नष्ट हो गई।

आस-पास के लोगों ने तत्काल सहायता करते हुए कुछ कपड़े, गैस चूल्हा आदि उपलब्ध कराए, लेकिन इस गरीब परिवार के लिए सामान्य जीवन में वापस लौटना बेहद कठिन था।

समूण फाउंडेशन ने इस परिवार के जले हुए घर के पुनर्निर्माण का जिम्मा उठाया और दानदाताओं के सहयोग से दिनांक 10/11/2018 को यह कार्य सफलतापूर्वक पूर्ण किया गया।

इसके अतिरिक्त, घर के आवश्यक सामान हेतु ₹11,000 की धनराशि का चेक भी परिवार को प्रदान किया गया।

यह पहल दीपावली के वास्तविक अर्थ को दर्शाती है — किसी के जीवन में पुनः उजाला लाना। समूण परिवार इस नेक कार्य में सहयोग करने वाले सभी दानदाताओं का हृदय से आभार व्यक्त करता है।

*Footwear Distribution Drive for School Children*

*Location: Government Primary School, Lalthang, Haridwar, Uttarakhand*

At Government Primary School, Lalthang in Haridwar, a total of 126 children belong to extremely underprivileged families. Many of these children did not even have slippers or shoes to wear while traveling to school. During the rainy season, they were forced to walk barefoot, facing discomfort and health risks.

Understanding this urgent need, Samoon Foundation stepped forward to support these young students. On 11 August 2018, shoes were distributed to all needy students of the school, ensuring that they no longer have to attend school barefoot.

Children are the future of any nation. The progress of a country largely depends on the well-being, education, and development of its children. While government initiatives help in providing education and basic facilities, there are still many essential needs that remain unfulfilled. It is our collective responsibility to support such children and ensure they receive proper care, dignity, and opportunities to learn.

Samoon Foundation believes that even small efforts like providing footwear can bring meaningful change by improving attendance, comfort, and overall learning conditions for students.

We hope that this initiative will contribute positively to the children’s education and well-being.

*विद्यालय के बच्चों हेतु जूता वितरण कार्यक्रम*

*दिनांक: 11 अगस्त 2018*

*स्थान: राजकीय प्राथमिक विद्यालय, लालठांग, हरिद्वार, उत्तराखंड*

राजकीय प्राथमिक विद्यालय, लालठांग (हरिद्वार) के कुल 126 बच्चे अत्यंत गरीब परिवारों से संबंध रखते हैं। इनमें से कई बच्चों के पास स्कूल आने-जाने के लिए चप्पल या जूते तक नहीं थे। बरसात के मौसम में ये मासूम बच्चे नंगे पांव स्कूल जाने को मजबूर थे, जिससे उन्हें काफी कठिनाइयों का सामना करना पड़ता था।

इस समस्या को समझते हुए समूण परिवार ने आगे बढ़कर इन बच्चों की सहायता की। दिनांक 11 अगस्त 2018 को विद्यालय के सभी जरूरतमंद विद्यार्थियों को जूते वितरित किए गए, ताकि उन्हें अब नंगे पांव स्कूल न जाना पड़े।

बच्चे किसी भी देश का भविष्य होते हैं। किसी भी राष्ट्र की प्रगति उसके बच्चों की शिक्षा, स्वास्थ्य और सही परवरिश पर निर्भर करती है। सरकार द्वारा शिक्षा उपलब्ध कराने के प्रयास किए जाते हैं, लेकिन कई आवश्यक जरूरतें अभी भी अधूरी रह जाती हैं। ऐसे में हम सभी का दायित्व बनता है कि हम इन बच्चों की सहायता करें और उन्हें बेहतर शिक्षा के अवसर प्रदान करें।

समूण परिवार का मानना है कि इस प्रकार के छोटे-छोटे प्रयास भी बच्चों के जीवन में बड़ा बदलाव ला सकते हैं और उनकी पढ़ाई में सकारात्मक प्रभाव डाल सकते हैं।

हम आशा करते हैं कि यह पहल बच्चों के बेहतर भविष्य की दिशा में सहायक सिद्ध होगी।

On the request of Mrs. Indu Bhandari, teacher at Government Primary School, Saud, Samoon Foundation has taken a significant step by adopting the school. The aim is to develop it into the region’s first Digital School by providing modern educational tools and resources.

In the first phase of this initiative, the following equipment and learning materials have been provided to the school:

6. Speaker

7. Vegetable & Fruit Copying Kit

Samoon Foundation will continuously monitor the academic progress of the students. If the students meet expectations and excel in their studies, bringing recognition to the school, the foundation will move to the second phase. In the next phase, Samoon will extend further support to develop this institution into a Model School at a larger scale.

*स्थान: राजकीय प्राथमिक विद्यालय, सौड, उत्तराखंड*

राजकीय प्राथमिक विद्यालय, सौड की अध्यापिका श्रीमती इंदु भंडारी जी के निवेदन पर समूण परिवार ने इस विद्यालय को गोद लेने का निर्णय लिया है। इसका उद्देश्य आधुनिक शिक्षा के उपकरण उपलब्ध कराते हुए इस विद्यालय को क्षेत्र का पहला डिजिटल स्कूल बनाना है।

समूण टीम द्वारा विद्यार्थियों की प्रगति की निरंतर निगरानी की जाएगी। यदि विद्यार्थी अपेक्षाओं के अनुरूप उत्कृष्ट प्रदर्शन करते हैं और विद्यालय का नाम रोशन करते हैं, तो दूसरे चरण में इस विद्यालय को बड़े स्तर पर मॉडल स्कूल के रूप में विकसित करने हेतु समूण परिवार पूर्ण सहयोग प्रदान करेगा।
