The Samoon Group successfully completed its blanket distribution drive during a cold winter night. The Dehradun team gathered at Rispana Bridge at 9:00 PM and, along with the team arriving from Rishikesh, began their journey across Dehradun city at 10:00 PM. Starting from ISBT, they covered areas including Patel Nagar, Prince Chowk, Ghantaghar, Parade Ground, Rajpur Road, Paltan Bazaar, and Doon Hospital, providing warmth (“Samoon”) to those in need.

Later, at around 1:00 AM, the team proceeded to Rishikesh. Passing through Nepali Farm, they visited Shyampur, Gumaniwala, Triveni Ghat, Shisham Jhadi, Ram Jhula, and Laxman Jhula. The team continued distributing blankets until 4:00 AM to ensure that help reached the most needy. The activity was carried out at night to directly support people exposed to the harsh cold.

During the drive, some team members became emotional upon witnessing the difficult conditions in which people were living—pregnant women, children, and elderly individuals were forced to spend the night under plastic sheets. Although the team could not reach everyone, they ensured that their support reached those who truly needed it.

The Samoon Group expressed its commitment to continue such humanitarian efforts and encouraged others to join in serving society, emphasizing that service to humanity is the greatest duty.

The team included:

कंबल वितरण कार्यक्रम

दिनांक: जनवरी 2015

स्थान: देहरादून एवं ऋषिकेश, उत्तराखंड

समूण ग्रुप का कंबल वितरण कार्यक्रम सफलतापूर्वक संपन्न हुआ। देहरादून की टीम रात 9:00 बजे रिस्पना पुल पर एकत्रित हुई और ऋषिकेश से आई टीम के साथ मिलकर 10:00 बजे शहर के विभिन्न क्षेत्रों का भ्रमण किया। आईएसबीटी से शुरुआत करते हुए टीम ने पटेलनगर, प्रिंस चौक, घंटाघर, परेड ग्राउंड, राजपुर रोड, पलटन बाजार और दून अस्पताल तक जरूरतमंद लोगों को “समूण” (गर्माहट) प्रदान की।

इसके बाद टीम ने रात 1:00 बजे ऋषिकेश के लिए प्रस्थान किया और नेपाली फार्म, श्यामपुर, गुमानीवाला, त्रिवेणी घाट, शिशम झाड़ी, राम झूला और लक्ष्मण झूला क्षेत्रों में भ्रमण किया। सुबह 4:00 बजे तक टीम जरूरतमंदों को कंबल वितरित करती रही। यह कार्य विशेष रूप से रात में इसलिए किया गया ताकि ठंड में खुले में रहने वाले लोगों तक सीधी सहायता पहुंच सके।

इस दौरान कुछ टीम सदस्य भावुक हो गए जब उन्होंने देखा कि गर्भवती महिलाएं, बच्चे और बुजुर्ग केवल प्लास्टिक की एक पॉलिथीन के नीचे रात बिताने को मजबूर थे।

हालांकि टीम हर व्यक्ति तक नहीं पहुंच सकी, लेकिन जिन तक सहायता पहुंची, उन्हें वास्तव में इसकी अत्यधिक आवश्यकता थी। समूण ग्रुप ने आगे भी ऐसे मानवीय कार्यों को जारी रखने का संकल्प लिया और सभी से इस नेक कार्य में जुड़ने की अपील की, यह बताते हुए कि मानव सेवा ही सबसे बड़ा धर्म है।

Despite the freezing weather, they worked continuously until 3:00 AM and distributed 101 blankets, providing warmth and comfort to many. During the severe winter months, many poor and homeless individuals in Dehradun and Rishikesh faced extreme hardships as they had no proper shelter or warm clothing. The cold nights became life-threatening, especially for children and the elderly, who were more vulnerable to illness. Their struggles often went unnoticed, and they lacked access to basic necessities like blankets and warm clothes, highlighting the urgent need for compassion and support.

In conclusion, the Samoon Foundation’s effort showed that even a small initiative could bring significant change. By helping those in need, they not only provided warmth but also spread humanity and kindness, encouraging others to contribute toward the welfare of the less fortunate.

10 जनवरी 2015 की ठंडी सर्द रात में, समूण फाउंडेशन ने देहरादून और ऋषिकेश में खुले आसमान के नीचे सो रहे लोगों की सहायता हेतु कंबल वितरण अभियान सफलतापूर्वक आयोजित किया। टीम रात 10:00 बजे रिस्पना पुल पर एकत्रित हुई, योजना बनाई और देर रात शहर के विभिन्न क्षेत्रों में जरूरतमंद लोगों की पहचान करते हुए आगे बढ़ी। कड़ाके की ठंड के बावजूद, टीम ने सुबह 3:00 बजे तक लगातार कार्य करते हुए 101 कंबल वितरित किए, जिससे कई लोगों को गर्माहट और राहत मिली। यह छोटा सा प्रयास एक बड़ा प्रभाव छोड़ गया और अन्य लोगों को भी जरूरतमंदों की सहायता के लिए प्रेरित किया।

कठिन सर्दियों के दौरान, देहरादून और ऋषिकेश में कई गरीब एवं बेघर लोगों को अत्यधिक कठिनाइयों का सामना करना पड़ा क्योंकि उनके पास न तो उचित आश्रय था और न ही पर्याप्त गर्म कपड़े। ठंडी रातें विशेष रूप से बच्चों और बुजुर्गों के लिए जानलेवा बन जाती थीं। उनकी समस्याएं अक्सर अनदेखी रह जाती थीं और उन्हें कंबल व गर्म कपड़ों जैसी बुनियादी आवश्यकताओं की कमी रहती थी, जिससे तत्काल सहायता और संवेदना की आवश्यकता स्पष्ट होती है।

अंत में, समूण फाउंडेशन का यह प्रयास दर्शाता है कि एक छोटा कदम भी बड़ा बदलाव ला सकता है। जरूरतमंदों की सहायता करके उन्होंने न केवल उन्हें गर्माहट प्रदान की, बल्कि मानवता और करुणा का संदेश भी फैलाया, जिससे अन्य लोगों को भी समाज सेवा के लिए प्रेरणा मिली।

During the harsh winter season, many underprivileged families in Dehradun were struggling to protect themselves from the extreme cold. While most people had access to warm clothes and blankets, several homeless individuals and children were forced to spend their nights in the open without adequate protection, putting their health and lives at risk.

After surveying different areas of the city on 22 December 2014, Samoon Foundation, led by volunteer Vivek Khandoori, launched an appeal to collect blankets and warm clothing for those in need. The initiative encouraged people to donate unused winter clothes or contribute financially so that new blankets could be purchased and distributed to vulnerable families.

The campaign helped spread awareness about the hardships faced by the homeless during winter and inspired community members to come forward with donations. Through this collective effort, many needy individuals received warmth, care, and hope during the cold season.

देहरादून में 22 दिसंबर 2014 को कड़ाके की सर्दी के दौरान अनेक जरूरतमंद परिवार, बेघर लोग और छोटे बच्चे पर्याप्त गर्म कपड़ों एवं कंबलों के अभाव में कठिन परिस्थितियों का सामना कर रहे थे। खुले आसमान के नीचे रात बिताने को मजबूर इन लोगों के लिए ठंड जीवन के लिए भी खतरा बन गई थी।

इस स्थिति को देखते हुए समूण फाउंडेशन ने अपने सदस्य विवेक खंडूड़ी के नेतृत्व में जरूरतमंदों के लिए कंबल एवं गर्म वस्त्र दान अभियान शुरू किया। लोगों से अपने घरों में उपलब्ध उपयोगी गर्म कपड़े और कंबल दान करने तथा आर्थिक सहयोग देकर नए कंबल उपलब्ध कराने की अपील की गई, ताकि उन्हें जरूरतमंद परिवारों तक पहुँचाया जा सके।

इस अभियान के माध्यम से समाज में जागरूकता बढ़ी और अनेक लोगों ने आगे आकर सहयोग किया। सामूहिक प्रयासों से कई जरूरतमंद परिवारों, बुजुर्गों और बच्चों को सर्दी से राहत मिली तथा उनके जीवन में आशा और सुरक्षा का संचार हुआ।

Financial Help for the family of Late - .Singh(एक भाई खोया, परिवार संभाला)

In November 2014, a home in the hills fell silent. A son of Uttarakhand, working in Oman to feed his family, had passed away far from home. The news left behind a widowed mother, young children, and bills no one could pay. Grief was heavy, but the fear of tomorrow was heavier.  

Team Samoon heard their silence. On 11th November 2014, *INR 61,000/-* was sent to their account with a simple note: _HELP FROM SAMOON_. It wasn’t just money. It was a hand on their shoulder, saying “You’re not alone.” It helped bring their son home, perform his last rites with dignity, and gave the family breathing room to mourn without drowning in debt.  

Mountains are strong because they stand together. So does Samoon.

नवंबर 2014 में पहाड़ों का एक घर खामोश हो गया। उत्तराखंड का एक बेटा, जो परिवार का पेट पालने ओमान गया था, वहीं परदेस में दुनिया छोड़ गया। पीछे रह गए एक बूढ़ी माँ, छोटे बच्चे, और ऐसे खर्चे जिनका कोई सहारा न था। गम बड़ा था, पर कल की चिंता उससे भी बड़ी।  

टीम समून तक उनकी खामोशी पहुँची। 11 नवंबर 2014 को उनके खाते में *₹61,000/-* भेजे गए, साथ में बस एक लाइन: _HELP FROM SAMOON_। वो सिर्फ पैसा नहीं था। वो कंधे पर रखा एक हाथ था, जो कह रहा था, “तुम अकेले नहीं हो।” उसी से बेटे को घर लाया गया, सम्मान से अंतिम विदाई हुई, और परिवार को बिना कर्ज़ के शोक मनाने की थोड़ी मोहलत मिली।  

पहाड़ इसलिए मजबूत हैं क्योंकि वो साथ खड़े रहते हैं। समून भी।

बहन रेशमा का परिवार आर्थिक रूप से अत्यंत कमजोर स्थिति में था। सीमित आय के कारण परिवार के लिए विवाह से संबंधित आवश्यक खर्चों की व्यवस्था करना बहुत कठिन हो गया था। आर्थिक तंगी के कारण परिवार मानसिक तनाव और चिंता में था तथा सम्मानपूर्वक विवाह सम्पन्न कराना उनके लिए एक बड़ी चुनौती बन गया था।

परिवार की इस स्थिति को देखते हुए समून फाउंडेशन ने हस्तक्षेप किया। समून फाउंडेशन की सदस्य श्रीमती सुनीता बुड़ाकोटी के सहयोग से बहन रेशमा के विवाह हेतु ₹10,615 की आर्थिक सहायता प्रदान की गई। इस सहायता से परिवार को विवाह की आवश्यक तैयारियाँ करने में सहायता मिली और आर्थिक बोझ काफी हद तक कम हुआ।

The family had three children—two sons and one daughter—whose education was at risk because they could not afford school-related expenses. With limited income, continuing the children’s studies had become a major challenge, and the family feared they might have to discontinue their education.

Understanding the family’s situation, Samoon Foundation intervened to support them. With the generous contribution of ₹5,000 from Mr. Vinod Jethuri (Samoon Foundation Member), financial assistance was provided specifically for the children’s education. This support helped the family manage their educational expenses and reduced their financial burden.

श्री राजेन्द्र सिंह का परिवार आर्थिक कठिनाइयों से गुजर रहा था। परिवार की सीमित आय के कारण दैनिक आवश्यकताओं की पूर्ति करना भी मुश्किल हो गया था। उनके परिवार में तीन बच्चे—दो बेटे और एक बेटी—थे, जिनकी पढ़ाई आर्थिक तंगी के कारण प्रभावित हो रही थी। बच्चों की स्कूल से जुड़ी आवश्यकताओं को पूरा करना परिवार के लिए संभव नहीं रह गया था और उनकी शिक्षा बीच में रुकने की आशंका बढ़ गई थी।
