On *November 16, 2023*, a request letter was received from *Mr. Yamuna Prasad Dangwal*, a resident of village *Budkot, Post Office Laludikhal, Tehri Garhwal*, seeking help for the treatment of his wife, *Prabha Devi*. She suffered a brain hemorrhage on *September 29* and was immediately admitted to Dehradun, from where she was referred to *PGI Chandigarh* for better treatment.  

The *Samoon Foundation* provided a small assistance amount of *₹17,000* for the treatment of Prabha Devi, who was receiving treatment at PGI Chandigarh after her brain hemorrhage on September 29. The impoverished family requested assistance from the Samoon Foundation for the treatment, and the support was provided through *Mr. Vijay Mohan Panyuli*, the vice president of the organization. We also pray for Prabha Devi's swift recovery and a bright future.

*सम्पून फाउंडेशन* ने 29 सितंबर को ब्रेन हेमरेज के बाद PGI चंडीगढ़ में उपचार प्राप्त कर रही प्रभा देवी के उपचार के लिए *₹17,000* की छोटी सहायता राशि प्रदान की। इस असहाय परिवार ने उपचार के लिए सम्पून फाउंडेशन से सहायता का अनुरोध किया था, और यह सहायता संगठन के उपाध्यक्ष *श्री विजय मोहन पन्युली* के माध्यम से प्रदान की गई। हम प्रभा देवी के शीघ्र स्वस्थ होने और उज्ज्वल भविष्य की कामना भी करते हैं।

Diwali Samoon by the Samoon Foundation in Tehri Garhwal

After distributing #Bagwali_Samoon in Rishikesh, the Samoon Computer Training Institute in Akhodi, operated by Vikram Shah and his team, delivered #Bagwali_Samoon to extremely impoverished families in Akhodi, Tehri Garhwal. The Diwali kits included new clothes, sweets, firecrackers, lamps, oil wicks, and more.

The Samoon Foundation family shares the joy of Diwali every year with some underprivileged families alongside their own, as this festival is about sharing happiness. The more we share joy with others, the more we feel joy ourselves.

If our small efforts can bring a little more light to the lives of those in need around us during this festival, then we truly understand the significance of Diwali.

Financial Assistance Provided for Education of Children(बच्चों की शिक्षा हेतु आर्थिक सहायता प्रदान की गई)

Due to unemployment, poverty, and helplessness, three innocent children lost their mother. The poor family appealed to the *Samoon Foundation* for help in educating and supporting the children.

*Poonam Devi*, a 32-year-old resident of village *Dobari, Bachhelikhal, Tehri Garhwal*, suddenly fell ill. Before the family could respond, she passed away. It was reported that Poonam was pregnant, and due to a lack of funds, the family resorted to buying medicine from a nearby pharmacy, but she did not survive the next day.

Living in a wrecked mud house, her ailing husband, *Jitendra Kumar Dhyadi*, struggled to provide for the family through labor. With Poonam's sudden death, Jitendra, along with their three children (*Shivangi, 9 years; Saumya, 7 years; and Vaibhavi, 5 years*) and their elderly grandmother, were in shock. Jitendra was unable to work due to the need to care for the children and also because of the pain in his spinal cord, preventing him from seeking treatment or employment. Therefore, the family turned to the *Samoon Foundation* for help with the children's education and upbringing.

The Samoon Foundation team visited the affected family at their home and assured them of all possible assistance. On *October 25, 2023*, the Samoon Foundation provided a small assistance amount of *₹16,000* and promised further support for the children's education.

By helping those in need within our community, we not only bring about positive change in their lives but also play a vital role in building a stronger society, fostering consensus, harmony, and prosperity. For the past 13 years, members of the Samoon Foundation have been engaged in the noble work of serving humanity and have assisted hundreds of families to the best of their ability.

बेरोजगारी, गरीबी और बेबसी के कारण तीन मासूम बच्चों ने अपनी मां को खो दिया। इस गरीब परिवार ने बच्चों की शिक्षा और पालन-पोषण में मदद के लिए *सम्पून फाउंडेशन* से सहायता की अपील की।

*पूणम देवी*, उम्र 32 वर्ष, निवासी ग्राम *डोबरी, बछेलिखाल, टिहरी गढ़वाल*, अचानक बीमार पड़ गईं। परिवार के कुछ कर पाने से पहले ही उनका निधन हो गया। बताया गया कि पूनम गर्भवती थीं और धन की कमी के कारण परिवार ने पास की दवा की दुकान से दवा लेकर इलाज किया, लेकिन अगले दिन उनकी मृत्यु हो गई।

टूटे-फूटे मिट्टी के मकान में रहने वाले उनके बीमार पति, *जितेंद्र कुमार ध्याडी*, मजदूरी करके परिवार का पालन-पोषण करने के लिए संघर्ष कर रहे थे। पूनम के अचानक निधन के बाद जितेंद्र, उनके तीन बच्चे (*शिवांगी, 9 वर्ष; सौम्या, 7 वर्ष; और वैभवी, 5 वर्ष*) और उनकी बुजुर्ग दादी सदमे में थे। बच्चों की देखभाल की आवश्यकता और रीढ़ की हड्डी में दर्द के कारण जितेंद्र न तो इलाज करवा पा रहे थे और न ही रोजगार कर पा रहे थे। इसलिए, परिवार ने बच्चों की शिक्षा और पालन-पोषण में मदद के लिए *सम्पून फाउंडेशन* का सहारा लिया।

*सम्पून फाउंडेशन* की टीम ने प्रभावित परिवार के घर जाकर उन्हें हर संभव सहायता का आश्वासन दिया। *25 अक्टूबर 2023* को सम्पून फाउंडेशन ने *₹16,000* की छोटी सहायता राशि प्रदान की और बच्चों की शिक्षा के लिए आगे भी सहयोग का वादा किया।

To ensure that no child is left behind due to financial or social constraints, we all need to come forward to help educate the underprivileged children of our society. For the past 12 years, the *Samoon Foundation* has been providing scholarships to support poor and deserving students in their education.

*Faizan Khan* aspires to become an engineer but was unable to pay his http://B.Tech fees due to his family's financial situation. Upon requesting assistance from the Samoon Foundation, the organization promptly transferred Faizan's entire fee of *₹1,25,019 (one lakh twenty-five thousand nineteen rupees)* to his college.

Faizan Khan's complete fees were sponsored by one of our esteemed donors, and we have not only hope but full confidence that Faizan will excel in his studies, improve his family's financial condition, and, as a successful individual, help others in need as well.

On *August 28, 2022*, the *Samoon Foundation* received a request letter from *Shakuntala Devi*, a resident of *Village Simkhet, Post Office Paunv, Patti Ghurdausayon, Pauri Garhwal*. Following her husband's passing due to a heart attack, the family has encountered numerous hardships. Shakuntala Devi is facing challenges in providing proper nurturing, nutrition, and education to her children. She has sought support from the Samoon Foundation for her children's education.

Under its scholarship program, the Samoon Foundation extended assistance for the education of Shakuntala Devi's two children, Krishna Kant and Kirti Kant. Recognizing education as a precious gift, an appeal was made via social media for those willing to contribute to support this family. 

Responding promptly, the organization issued a cheque of *Rs. 3,000 each* for the education of both *Krishna Kant and Kirti Kant*, ensuring continued assistance for their educational needs in the future. 

Shakuntala Devi expressed heartfelt gratitude to the members of the Samoon Foundation and lauded the organization's impactful social work. 

For several years, the Samoon Foundation has been dedicated to educating economically disadvantaged children. Each year, the foundation supports the education of selected children from underprivileged backgrounds by awarding them a scholarship of *₹3,000*, fostering their educational pursuits.

ग्राम - *सिमखेत, पोस्ट ऑफिस - पाऊं, पट्टी - घुड़दौस्यूँ, पौड़ी गढ़वाल* निवासी *शकुंतला देवी* जी का 28 अगस्त को एक निवेदन पत्र प्राप्त हुआ जिसके पति की हृदयाघात से मृत्यु हो गई थी और तब से परिवार के ऊपर संकटों का पहाड़ टूट पड़ा था। शकुंतला देवी जी को बच्चों के लालन पोषण एवं शिक्षा के लिए परेशानियों का सामना कर रही थी और सम्पून फाउंडेशन से निवेदन किया गया कि उनके बच्चों की पढ़ाई हेतु सहयोग किया जाय।

शकुंतला देवी जी के दो बच्चों *कृष्णकांत और कीर्तिकांत* की पढ़ाई के लिए *स्कॉलरशिप प्रोग्राम* के तहत *सम्पून फाउंडेशन* मदद हेतु प्रस्तावित किया गया। शिक्षा का दान महानतम में से एक है इसलिए यदि आप भी इस परिवार की सहायता करना चाहते थे उससे सहायता हेतु सोशल मीडिया पर पोस्ट के माध्यम से सहायता हेतु अपील की गई थी। 

जिस पर संस्था ने तत्काल संज्ञान लिया और दोनों बच्चों *कृष्णकांत एवं कीर्तिकांत* की पढ़ाई हेतु *3-3 हजार का चेक प्रदान किया* और आगे भी हर संभव बच्चों की शिक्षा हेतु मदद करने का आश्वासन दिया। 

शकुंतला देवी जी ने सम्पून फाउंडेशन के सदस्यों का हार्दिक आभार प्रकट किया और संस्था द्वारा किए जा रहे सामाजिक कार्यों की सराहना की।

*The foundation provided a cheque of ₹3,000 each for the education of three children — Niharika (12th grade), Nidhi (11th grade) and one more child.*

Mr. *Pramod Vyas*, a resident of *Dhalwala*, used to support his family by working as a priest. Everything was going well until he was involved in a road accident in *2015*. While he survived, he was left paralyzed on one side of his body, making him unable to work. Due to the responsibilities of educating and providing for his three children, Mr. Vyas reached out to the *Samoon Foundation* for assistance. 

In response, the Samoon Foundation provided a *total cheque of ₹9,000* for the education of all three children.

*₹16,000 has been transferred to the account of Mrs. Indu Devi, the wife of the late Gautam Bhandari Ji, who lost his life in a cloudburst.*

*Gautam Singh Bhandari*, a resident of *village Badal, Tehri Garhwal*, was working as a cook at a rafting camp when a sudden flood caused by a cloudburst swept him away while he was cooking on *August 7*. Some of his colleagues managed to save themselves, but Gautam did not get a chance to escape and fell victim to this calamity. After extensive searching, his body was found stuck in a tree about one and a half kilometers away.

Gautam Bhandari Ji leaves behind his *wife and an innocent two-and-a-half-year-old son*. The family now faces overwhelming challenges and worries about their future. *Mr. Hukam Singh Bhandari*, the former head of the village, has sent a request for help to the *Samoon Foundation*.

We appeal to all those who can extend their support to the family according to their means.

A small assistance amount of *₹16,000* has been transferred to the account of *Mrs. Indu Devi* for the family of the late Gautam Bhandari Ji. We express our condolences to the family and pray to God to give them strength to overcome this sorrow.

*गौतम सिंह भंडारी*, निवासी *गांव बादल, टिहरी गढ़वाल*, एक राफ्टिंग कैंप में रसोइया के रूप में काम करते थे। *7 अगस्त* को बादल फटने से अचानक आई बाढ़ में वह खाना बनाते समय बह गए। उनके कुछ साथी खुद को बचाने में सफल रहे, लेकिन गौतम को बचने का मौका नहीं मिला और वे इस आपदा का शिकार हो गए। काफी खोजबीन के बाद उनका शव लगभग डेढ़ किलोमीटर दूर एक पेड़ में फंसा हुआ मिला।

गौतम भंडारी जी के पीछे उनकी *पत्नी और ढाई साल का मासूम बेटा* है। परिवार अब भारी चुनौतियों और भविष्य की चिंताओं का सामना कर रहा है। गांव के पूर्व प्रधान *श्री हुकुम सिंह भंडारी* ने *सम्पून फाउंडेशन* से सहायता के लिए अनुरोध भेजा है।

Ramdhan Ji mentioned that repairing his house wouldn't be of much use, but if he could get a box to store his food supplies, it would be a great help, as wild animals like monkeys, rats, and cats often eat whatever food he has.

The *Samoon team* took immediate action on Ramdhan Ji's request and delivered a *box along with rations for the next 2-3 months* to his home.
