On August 13, 2024, the Samoon Foundation expanded its educational outreach to
one of Uttarakhand’s most underserved communities by reaching the Tribal PrimarySchool - Majravighi in Gadarpur, Udham Singh Nagar. Marking the seventeenth day ofits uniform distribution drive, this initiative exemplifies the Foundation’s commitment to promoting educational equity across diverse and marginalized regions. his intervention was sparked by a direct appeal from Principal Mr. Manoj Choubey, who learned about the Foundation’s initiatives through social media. Recognizing the need, the Foundation promptly responded by providing uniforms for all 55 students, many of whom belong to the Buxa and other Scheduled Tribes. The school, established in 1980, has long served as a cornerstone for tribal education in the region.
The event garnered enthusiastic support from local leaders, educators, and
Foundation representatives. Principal Choubey highlighted how timely initiatives like
this one remove tangible barriers to education and instill dignity and motivation among
tribal children. The Samoon Foundation reaffirmed its mission: to bridge educational
disparities by ensuring every child, regardless of background, has access to essential
learning resources and a supportive environment. This case stands as a testament to
how responsive action and community collaboration can make meaningful strides
toward inclusive education.
