Education Across Borders — Samoon Foundation Reaches India-Nepal Border Region

  On August 28, 2024

the Samoon Foundation expanded its uniform distribution campaign to SECC02 Mankatiya in Pithoragarh, a vital coaching center located near the India-Nepal border. This initiative marked another significant milestone in the Foundation’s mission to provide free uniforms to over 4,000 students by December 2024. Operating from the Shaheed Trilok Ram Kohli Library— home to a remarkable collection of more than 20,000 books—SECC02 offers free academic coaching to students from remote villages. During this event, Center Director Sonia Kohli personal
ly distributed uniforms to the students. The core mission behind this effort is to equip rural and underprivileged children with the necessary resources— uniforms, books, and educational support— ensuring they receive equal opportunities as their urban counterparts. This holistic approach not only boosts student morale and confidence but also nurtures their long term educational aspirations. The Mankatiya distribution reflects the Samoon Foundation's unwavering resolve to reach underserved communities and underscores its broader vision of educational equity across geographic and social boundaries
