On August 5, 2024, the Samoon Foundation marked the fifteenth day of its ongoing
uniform distribution campaign by reaching Government Primary School Semalta in
Tehri Garhwal. As part of its broader mission to provide 4,000 students with free
school uniforms, the initiative aimed to instill a sense of belonging, equality, and
motivation among rural school children.
The event was received with heartfelt appreciation from students, staff , and parents
alike. Headmistress Manju Makhaloga reflected on the impact, stating,
“We were very happy to see the smiles on the children's faces and their enthusiasm. This initiative willboost their self- esteem and motivation to come to school.
” Samoon Foundation member Sunil Saklani emphasized the campaign’s inclusive vision: “Our effort is to ensure that children in rural areas also receive the same facilities as those in urban
settings.”
Parents echoed similar sentiments, acknowledging the practical and emotional
support such programs provide. This eff ort continues to reinforce the Foundation’s
unwavering dedication to educational access and social equity, setting a powerful
example of grassroots engagement and long- term community upliftment.
