On December 17 , 2024, the Samoon Foundation continued its impactful outreach in
the hills of Tehri Garhwal, Uttarakhand, by distributing warm sweaters to children at
Khola Naveen. This thoughtful initiative is part of the Foundation’s larger mission to
eliminate obstacles to education by addressing the basic needs of students—
especially during the challenging winter months.
Mrs. Lakshmi Negi, Headmistress of the school, commended the initiative, highlighting
that it not only provides protection from the cold but also uplifts children's morale and
confidence. Mrs. Sapna Devi, Chairperson of the School Management Committee,
described the aid as a “blessing” for underprivileged families who struggle to provide
warm clothing during winter, noting its direct impact on students' ability to continue
their education. Assistant Teacher Mrs. Suman Painuly praised the distribution as
both inspiring and essential for securing the educational future of children in such
remote regions.
Parents present at the event wholeheartedly appreciated the Foundation’s timely and
compassionate eff orts, recognizing the program as a powerful example of education-
focused social service in underserved areas.
Through initiatives like this, the Samoon Foundation reaffirms its commitment to
ensuring that no child is left behind due to environmental or economic hardships,
