अगस्त 2024 में उत्तराखंड के तिलगढ़ गांव को विनाशकारी भूस्खलन और बाढ़ के कारण गंभीर कठिनाइयों का सामना करना पड़ा। इस आपदा से कई परिवार प्रभावित हुए और उन्हें विस्थापन तथा अनेक समस्याओं का सामना करना पड़ा। ऐसी विषम परिस्थिति में समून फाउंडेशन ने तुरंत पहल करते हुए 04 अगस्त 2024 को आपदा प्रभावित 60 बच्चों को गर्म वस्त्र वितरित किए।

कई परिवारों को अस्थायी स्थानों पर रहने के लिए मजबूर होना पड़ा और आने वाली ठंड को देखते हुए उचित कपड़ों की आवश्यकता एक गंभीर समस्या बन गई थी। समून फाउंडेशन के इस समय पर किए गए सहयोग ने बच्चों को केवल आवश्यक वस्त्र ही नहीं दिए, बल्कि कठिन समय में अपनापन, सुरक्षा और भावनात्मक सहारा भी प्रदान किया।

17 जुलाई 2024 को समून फाउंडेशन ने अपने निरंतर चल रहे विद्यालय यूनिफॉर्म वितरण अभियान के अंतर्गत टिहरी गढ़वाल स्थित राजकीय प्राथमिक विद्यालय कोटी डोभालों की पहुंचकर एक और महत्वपूर्ण उपलब्धि हासिल की। यह अभियान का लगातार सातवां दिन था, जिसमें फाउंडेशन ने यह सुनिश्चित करने के अपने संकल्प को आगे बढ़ाया कि प्रत्येक बच्चे को आर्थिक स्थिति से परे आवश्यक शैक्षणिक संसाधन उपलब्ध हो सकें।

इस अभियान का उद्देश्य आर्थिक बाधाओं को कम करके विद्यार्थियों को समान अवसर प्रदान करना और विद्यालयों में एक समावेशी एवं सकारात्मक वातावरण तैयार करना है। यूनिफॉर्म वितरण केवल वस्त्र उपलब्ध कराने तक सीमित नहीं है, बल्कि यह बच्चों में आत्मविश्वास, सम्मान और विद्यालय से जुड़ाव की भावना विकसित करने का प्रयास है।

इस वितरण कार्यक्रम को समून फाउंडेशन के समर्पित सदस्यों श्री जितेंद्र जर्धारी, श्री राजेंद्र रंगाड़ एवं श्री विनोद रंगाड़ द्वारा सफलतापूर्वक संपन्न किया गया। टीम ने प्रत्येक विद्यार्थी को सम्मान और स्नेह के साथ यूनिफॉर्म प्रदान की। नई यूनिफॉर्म प्राप्त कर बच्चों के चेहरों पर खुशी, उत्साह और आत्मविश्वास स्पष्ट रूप से दिखाई दे रहा था।

विद्यालय की प्रधानाचार्या श्रीमती मीना जी ने इस पहल के लिए समून फाउंडेशन का हृदय से आभार व्यक्त किया। उन्होंने कहा कि एक साधारण यूनिफॉर्म भी विद्यार्थियों के अंदर समानता और गर्व की भावना पैदा कर सकती है, जिससे वे बिना किसी भेदभाव के अपनी पढ़ाई पर ध्यान केंद्रित कर पाते हैं।
