Pooja Ji and Yashpal Ji’s newborn baby was re-examined on 18/02/2018 by Dr. Raja Joshi, who confirmed that there is no alternative other than surgery. The family and doctors are now in continuous coordination, and the final date for the heart surgery will be scheduled soon.

With the consistent efforts of Samoon Foundation and the generous support of donors, we have successfully raised a total amount of ₹3,60,000 (Three Lakh Sixty Thousand). Out of this, ₹2,00,000 has already been transferred to the family’s account earlier. The remaining ₹1,60,000 has been arranged through a cheque, which will be handed over to the family by the Rishikesh team for the child’s surgery.

We all pray for the successful surgery and a healthy, happy life ahead for this little child.

A wave of happiness spread through the family of Yashpal and Pooja Chauhan with the birth of their baby boy. Congratulations poured in, and the family was filled with joy. However, their happiness soon turned into चिंता when doctors informed them that the newborn was facing serious breathing difficulties. After medical tests, it was diagnosed that the baby had a hole in his heart. Doctors advised that immediate surgery was necessary to save his life.

Yashpal, a daily wage laborer, struggles to support his family under difficult circumstances. Arranging ₹4–5 lakhs for the operation is beyond his capacity. Helpless and heartbroken, the family brought the child home, leaving everything to fate, hoping he would live as long as destiny allows.

Upon learning about this situation, Samoon Foundation reached out to the family and assured them of full support. The family was encouraged to admit the child to Sir Ganga Ram Hospital, New Delhi, while the foundation and supporters would try their best to arrange the required funds.

यशपाल और पूजा चौहान के घर एक नन्हे बालक का जन्म हुआ, जिससे पूरे परिवार में खुशी की लहर दौड़ गई। बधाइयों का सिलसिला शुरू ही हुआ था कि डॉक्टरों ने बताया कि बच्चे को सांस लेने में गंभीर समस्या है। जांच में पता चला कि बच्चे के दिल में छेद है, और यदि समय रहते ऑपरेशन नहीं हुआ तो उसकी जान को खतरा हो सकता है।

यशपाल एक दिहाड़ी मजदूर हैं और बड़ी कठिनाई से अपने परिवार का पालन-पोषण करते हैं। ऑपरेशन के लिए 4–5 लाख रुपये की व्यवस्था करना उनके लिए लगभग असंभव है। मजबूरी में वे बच्चे को घर ले आए और किस्मत के भरोसे छोड़ दिया, यह सोचकर कि जितने दिन जीवन होगा, उतने दिन जी लेगा।

During the harsh winter months of December and January, while many of us stay protected in the comfort of our homes with warm clothes and blankets, there are countless individuals who are forced to spend nights under the open sky. Every year in North India, hundreds of people lose their lives due to extreme cold, with women and children being the most affected.

For the past three years, Samoon Foundation has been celebrating the New Year by organizing a Blanket Distribution Drive to support the needy, helpless, and underprivileged, helping them survive the severe winter conditions.

This year, on the auspicious occasion of Makar Sankranti, the drive was conducted by various teams of the Samoon family across Rishikesh, Haridwar, Devprayag, Srinagar, and nearby regions. The campaign continued until 20 January, during which warm blankets were distributed to a large number of deserving individuals.

To ensure that help reached the truly needy, information was collected through Facebook and WhatsApp, which proved to be highly effective. Samoon members carefully verified each case before distributing blankets, ensuring transparency and genuine support.

With a target of supporting around 151 individuals, the team witnessed deeply emotional moments as recipients expressed heartfelt gratitude. These moments reinforced the belief that even small acts of kindness can bring warmth and dignity to someone’s life.

दिसम्बर और जनवरी की कड़ाके की ठंड में जहां हम अपने घरों में गर्म कपड़ों, रजाई और कंबलों के सहारे सुरक्षित रहते हैं, वहीं हमारे बीच कई ऐसे लोग भी हैं जो खुले आसमान के नीचे रात गुजारने को मजबूर होते हैं। हर वर्ष उत्तर भारत में सैकड़ों लोग ठंड के कारण अपनी जान गंवा देते हैं, जिनमें महिलाओं और बच्चों की संख्या अधिक होती है।

समूण परिवार पिछले तीन वर्षों से नव वर्ष को “कंबल वितरण कार्यक्रम” के रूप में मनाता आ रहा है, जिसके अंतर्गत जरूरतमंद, असहाय एवं निर्धन लोगों को कड़ाके की ठंड से बचाने हेतु कंबल वितरित किए जाते हैं।

इस वर्ष मकर संक्रांति के शुभ अवसर पर समूण परिवार की विभिन्न शाखाओं द्वारा ऋषिकेश, हरिद्वार, देवप्रयाग, श्रीनगर एवं आसपास के क्षेत्रों में यह अभियान प्रारंभ किया गया, जो 20 जनवरी तक चला। इस दौरान बड़ी संख्या में जरूरतमंदों को गर्म कंबल वितरित किए गए।

जरूरतमंदों तक सही सहायता पहुंचाने के लिए फेसबुक और व्हाट्सएप के माध्यम से जानकारी एकत्र की गई, जो अत्यंत प्रभावी सिद्ध हुई। समूण टीम के सदस्यों द्वारा प्रत्येक व्यक्ति का सत्यापन करने के बाद ही कंबल वितरित किए गए, जिससे सहायता सही लोगों तक पहुंच सके।

लगभग 151 जरूरतमंदों तक सहायता पहुंचाने के लक्ष्य के साथ इस अभियान में कई भावुक क्षण देखने को मिले, जब लोगों ने दिल से आभार व्यक्त किया। इन पलों ने यह विश्वास और मजबूत किया कि छोटे-छोटे प्रयास भी किसी के जीवन में बड़ी खुशियां ला सकते हैं।

Support Initiative for Differently-Abled Individuals(दिव्यांग सहायता अभियान)

*Support Initiative for Differently-Abled Individuals*

During the blanket distribution drive conducted by Samoon Foundation for the poor, helpless, and needy, the team received information about two differently-abled individuals living in extremely distressing conditions. Samoon member Arvind Jiyal visited their homes to understand their situation and was deeply moved and emotional after witnessing the reality.

Manisha, from Village Marad, and Sarla, from Village Kirod Patti Bharpur, Block Hindolakhal, District Tehri Garhwal, are facing severe hardships. Manisha is physically disabled in both legs. Her mother passed away when she was just three years old, and after her father remarried, he too passed away. With no parental support, Manisha survives by breaking stones and selling gravel and sand. Due to the absence of a ration card, her disability pension has been stopped for the past one and a half years. She does not own a house and currently lives in a small room provided by her uncle, which lacks electricity and leaks during the rainy season.

Similarly, Sarla is completely visually impaired. Her condition worsened due to lack of timely medical care. When she was around 14–15 years old and studying in class 6, she developed an eye infection while traveling through forest paths to school. Initially, it was neglected as a minor irritation. Local treatment with eye drops did not help, and due to financial constraints, her family could not afford proper medical care at a bigger hospital. By the time she received proper treatment, she had lost her eyesight completely.

Questions Raised by Samoon Foundation to Government & Administration:

1. Does the administration have a proper list of differently-abled individuals in the district? If yes, why has Manisha’s pension been stopped?

2. If government healthcare facilities exist in villages, why did Sarla not receive timely and proper treatment? Who is responsible?

3. Where are those who claim to serve society and represent the people?

4. If leaders can travel miles for votes, why do they fail to check on the condition of the poor and differently-abled?

Through Samoon team member Arvind Jiyal, information about both individuals has been shared with the District Magistrate of Tehri Garhwal. It is now expected that the administration will act with urgency and humanity, directing the Social Welfare Department to immediately resume the pending pension.

समूण परिवार द्वारा गरीब, असहाय एवं जरूरतमंदों के लिए चलाए जा रहे कंबल वितरण कार्यक्रम के दौरान दो दिव्यांग व्यक्तियों के बारे में जानकारी प्राप्त हुई, जो अत्यंत दयनीय परिस्थितियों में जीवन यापन करने को मजबूर हैं। समूण सदस्य श्री अरविंद जियाल जी उनके घर पहुंचे और वास्तविक स्थिति देखकर भावुक हो गए।

मनीषा, ग्राम मराड़ की निवासी हैं, जो दोनों पैरों से दिव्यांग हैं। उनकी माता का निधन तब हो गया था जब वह मात्र 3 वर्ष की थीं। पिता ने दूसरी शादी की, लेकिन कुछ समय बाद उनका भी निधन हो गया। माता-पिता का साया उठ जाने के बाद मनीषा जीविका के लिए पत्थर तोड़कर रोड़ी और बजरी बेचती हैं। राशन कार्ड न होने के कारण उनकी दिव्यांग पेंशन पिछले डेढ़ साल से बंद है। उनका अपना घर नहीं है, इसलिए वह अपने चाचा द्वारा दिए गए एक छोटे कमरे में रहती हैं, जहां न बिजली है और न ही बारिश में सुरक्षा।

वहीं सरला, ग्राम किरोड़ पट्टी भरपूर की निवासी हैं, जो दोनों आंखों से दृष्टिहीन हैं। जब वह 14–15 वर्ष की थीं और कक्षा 6 में पढ़ती थीं, तब जंगल के रास्ते स्कूल जाते समय उन्हें आंखों में संक्रमण हुआ। शुरुआत में इसे मामूली समस्या समझकर नजरअंदाज किया गया। स्थानीय डॉक्टरों द्वारा दिए गए आई ड्रॉप्स से भी आराम नहीं मिला। आर्थिक स्थिति कमजोर होने के कारण बड़े अस्पताल में इलाज नहीं हो पाया और जब तक सही इलाज मिला, तब तक उनकी दोनों आंखों की रोशनी चली गई थी।

समूण संस्था के प्रशासन एवं सरकार से कुछ प्रश्न:

1. क्या प्रशासन के पास जिले के सभी दिव्यांगों की सूची है? यदि है, तो पेंशन क्यों बंद है?

2. गांवों में सरकारी अस्पताल होने के बावजूद सरला को समय पर उपचार क्यों नहीं मिला? जिम्मेदार कौन है?

3. समाज सेवा का दावा करने वाले और जनप्रतिनिधि कहां हैं?

4. वोट मांगने के लिए गांव-गांव जाने वाले नेता जरूरतमंदों की सुध क्यों नहीं लेते?

On *12th December 2017*, a *Career Guidance Camp and Scholarship Distribution Program* was organized by *Samoon Foundation* at *Government Degree College, Devprayag*.

In this program, a scholarship of *Rs 5,000/-* was provided to *17 meritorious students* from poor families. The program started with the lighting of a lamp and paying tribute to Goddess Saraswati. 

*Subject expert Parikshit Uniyal and Manish Uniyal* guided the students on how to choose a better career and prepare for competitive exams.  

*S.S. Singh* provided information about the social work being done by the organization. 

*Media in-charge and poet Kamal Joshi* recited a poem "Uttarakhand Bhoomi" which was liked a lot by the students and the people present.

The Principal of the college, *Prof. Sudha Bhattad*, thanked the Samoon organization for the Career Guidance and Scholarship Distribution Program and said that such guidance was very necessary for students in hilly areas.

दिनांक *12 दिसम्बर 2017* को *राजकीय महाविद्यालय देवप्रयाग* में *समून फाउंडेशन* की ओर से *करियर गाइडेंस कैम्प व छात्रवृत्ति वितरण कार्यक्रम* आयोजित किया गया। जिसमें गरीब परिवारों के *17 मेधावी विद्यार्थियों* को *5 हजार* की छात्रवृत्ति प्रदान की गई। 

महाविद्यालय सभागार में माँ सरस्वती की वंदना व दीप प्रज्वलन से कार्यक्रम की शुरुआत हुई।  

*विषय विशेषज्ञ परीक्षित उनियाल व मनीष उनियाल* ने विद्यार्थियों को जीवन में सफलता हेतु बेहतर करियर व प्रतियोगिता की तैयारी के बारे में मार्गदर्शन दिया। 

*एस.एस. सिंह* ने संस्था द्वारा किये जा रहे सामाजिक कार्यों के बारे में जानकारी दी।  

वहीं समून संस्था की मीडिया प्रभारी व लोक गीतकार *कमल जोशी* ने गीत में पूरे लिखी कविता "उत्तराखंड भूमि" सुनाई जिसे विद्यार्थियों व उपस्थित लोगों ने खूब सराहा।

महाविद्यालय की *प्राचार्य प्रो. सुधा भट्टाद* ने समून संस्था के करियर मार्गदर्शन व छात्रवृत्ति वितरण कार्यक्रम पर धन्यवाद दिया और कहा कि पर्वतीय क्षेत्र के विद्यार्थियों में योग्यता की कमी नहीं थी लेकिन उन्हें दिशा निर्देशन की जरूरत होती थी।

समून फाउंडेशन सदस्यों व अतिथियों ने चयनित प्रत्येक छात्र-छात्रा को *तीन हजार* की धनराशि का चेक प्रदान किया।  

समून संस्था द्वारा छात्रवृत्ति में सहयोग करने वाले लोगों व महाविद्यालय के प्राचार्य आदि की स्मृति चिन्ह भी भेंट किये गये।

कार्यक्रम में समून परिवार के सदस्य *के.एस. सिंह, कमल जोशी, पूर्व छात्र संघ अध्यक्ष अरविंद नौटियाल* सहित *थाना प्रभारी देवप्रयाग विनीत राणा, युवा नेता हिमांशु बिलंगवान, करियर काउंसलिंग प्रभारी डॉ. अशोक कुमार मेडोला, सीता राम राणाकोटि* आदि मौजूद थे।

*Samoon Foundation* organized a *Student Guidance Camp and Scholarship Distribution Program* on *12th December 2017* at *Okaaranand Saraswati Rajkiya Mahavidyalaya, Devprayag, Tehri Garhwal*.

The purpose of this camp was to provide comprehensive guidance and assistance for employment along with the physical, mental, intellectual and spiritual development and moral building of the students.

A 5-member team of Samoon worked with professional counselors in this camp to guide the students.

Samoon Pariwar decided to provide scholarships for one year of studies to *18 selected students* who were financially weak but strong mentally. Samoon Pariwar also expressed its willingness to continue this in the future.

Samoon requested everyone to come forward and support this organized camp. It was also suggested that according to everyone's capacity and capability, one should come forward to adopt a student for a bright future.

The message given was that life is meant to serve. One should become indebted to society and repay that debt by helping others. As one receives, one should try to return it in some form.

विद्यार्थियों के शारीरिक, मानसिक, बौद्धिक एवं आध्यात्मिक विकास व नैतिक निर्माण के साथ रोजगार के लिए समुचित मार्गदर्शन एवं सहायता प्रदान करने के उद्देश्य से इस शिविर का आयोजन किया गया था।

प्रोफेशनल काउंसलरों के साथ समून की 5 सदस्यीय टीम इस शिविर में अपना सहयोग प्रदान करते हुए विद्यार्थियों का मार्गदर्शन कर रही थी।

*18 चयनित आर्थिक रूप से कमजोर व मानसिक रूप से प्रबल विद्यार्थियों* की एक साल की पढ़ाई का सम्पूर्ण खर्च समून परिवार छात्रवृत्ति के रूप में प्रदान करेगा और आगे भी कोशिश करता रहेगा।

आप सभी से अनुरोध था कि इस शिविर को सफल बनाने हेतु अपना सहयोग प्रदान करें। सभी साथियों से यह निवेदन था कि अपने प्रतिभा व क्षमता के अनुसार विद्यार्थियों के उज्जवल भविष्य हेतु अपना योगदान देने का सूत्र स्वीकार करें।

सन्देश दिया गया था कि *मनुष्य का सामाजिक प्राणी माना गया है*। उसे समाज बनाता भी है और मनुष्य समाज का ऋणी भी है। समाज से ही रोजमर्रा की जरूरतें पूरी होती हैं। मनुष्य ऋणी है तो वह अपने इस ऋण को चुकाने के लिए अपनी शक्ति व धन भाव को जरूर करें। जैसे-जैसे यह किसी से ले रहा है, वैसे-वैसे वह उसी को लौटाने का भी प्रयत्न करे।

*Samoon Foundation* was working for humanity. Members of Samoon family were always ready to help the underprivileged, deprived, depressed and destitute mankind.

One of the objectives of Samoon Foundation was to provide scholarships to brilliant students who were poor from family background.

Samoon Foundation had disbursed *37 scholarships* in the month of August on the eve of Independence Day to the selected students of more than 6 schools.

In continuation of this, Samoon Foundation distributed scholarships to the selected needy students of *ONS Govt. Degree College Devprayag*. The scholarship amount was equal to the annual fees expenditure of the student.

Samoon Foundation appealed to sponsor a student for higher education.

*समून फाउंडेशन* मानवता के लिए कार्य कर रहा था। समून परिवार के सदस्य जरूरतमंद, वंचित, दुखी और असहाय लोगों की मदद के लिए हमेशा तैयार रहते थे।

समून फाउंडेशन के उद्देश्यों में से एक उद्देश्य होनहार छात्रों को छात्रवृत्ति प्रदान करना था जो पारिवारिक पृष्ठभूमि से गरीब थे।

समून फाउंडेशन ने *अगस्त* माह में स्वतंत्रता दिवस के अवसर पर 6 से अधिक विद्यालयों के चयनित छात्रों को *37 छात्रवृत्तियां* वितरित की थीं।

इस क्रम को जारी रखते हुए समून फाउंडेशन ने *ओएनएस राजकीय डिग्री कॉलेज देवप्रयाग* के चयनित जरूरतमंद छात्रों को छात्रवृत्ति वितरित की। छात्रवृत्ति की राशि छात्र के वार्षिक शुल्क व्यय के बराबर थी।

समून फाउंडेशन ने उच्च शिक्षा के लिए एक छात्र को प्रायोजित करने की अपील की थी।

Help for Smt. Dauna devi for medical treatment(दीना देवी जी के चिकित्सा हेतु सहायता)

                                                 *Medical Assistance to Deena Devi Ji*  

 

*Location: Rishikesh, Uttarakhand*  

*Deena Devi Ji* was coming back after grazing goats when she could not see due to cataract in her eyes. She fell into a ditch. As a result, she suffered multiple fractures in her leg and hand and serious injuries on her head. 

With the help of *108 ambulance*, *Samoon member Hem Mahara Ji* got Deena Devi Ji admitted to the government hospital in Rishikesh. The doctor advised a CT scan from outside, but Deena Devi Ji did not have money for it.

*Samoon Pariwar* provided financial assistance for Deena Devi Ji's medicines and tests from outside.

The entire Samoon Pariwar prayed to God for Deena Devi Ji's speedy recovery.

*स्थान: ऋषिकेश, उत्तराखंड*  

*दीना देवी जी* जब बकरी चरा कर आ रही थीं तो आंख में मोतियाबिंद होने के कारण देख नहीं पाई और गड्ढे में गिर गईं। जिससे पैर और हाथ में मल्टी फ्रैक्चर और सर में बहुत सी जगहों पर गहरी चोट लगी थी। 

दीना देवी जी को समून सदस्य *हेम महरा जी* ने तत्काल *108* की मदद से ऋषिकेश के सरकारी हॉस्पिटल में भर्ती करवाया। डॉक्टर ने बाहर से सिटी स्कैन करने को कहा जिसके लिए दीना देवी के पास पैसे नहीं थे।

*सम्पूर्ण परिवार* की ओर से बाहर से दवाई और जांच के लिए छोटी सी सहायता प्रदान की गई थी।

हम दीना देवी जी के शीघ्र स्वास्थ्य सुधार हेतु भगवान से प्रार्थना करते थे।

Help for Ramnath's Daughter marriage(रामनाथ जी की बेटी की शादी हेतु सहायता)

The marriage of *Ramanath Ji's daughter* was scheduled for *23rd November 2017*. But the poor family did not have money to arrange the marriage of their daughter. 

Ramanath Ji lived in a *150 sq ft mud house* and earned his living by selling grass and firewood daily. His house was in a dilapidated condition and kept collapsing every day.

For the marriage of Ramanath Ji's daughter, several dignitaries of the city came forward to help. They provided household items so that the family could start a new life. 

*Samoon Pariwar* also provided a small financial assistance for Ramanath Ji's daughter's marriage.

The entire Samoon Pariwar prayed for a happy and prosperous married life for the daughter.

*रामनाथ जी* की बेटी की शादी *23 नवम्बर 2017* को थी लेकिन इस गरीब परिवार के पास बेटी की शादी करने के लिए पैसे नहीं थे। 

रामनाथ जी *150 फीट* के कच्चा सा घर जो कि मिट्टी का बना हुआ था और दिन प्रतिदिन गिरता जा रहा था। रामनाथ जी जंगल से घास लकड़ी ला कर गुजारा करते थे।

रामनाथ जी की बेटी की शादी के लिए शहर के कई गणमान्य लोगों द्वारा मदद की गई जिससे घरेलू सामान प्रदान किया गया।

*सम्पूर्ण परिवार* ने रामनाथ जी की बेटी की शादी के लिए एक छोटी सी सहयोग राशि प्रदान की थी।

सम्पूर्ण समून परिवार ने बेटी के सुखद एवं समृद्ध वैवाहिक जीवन की कामना की।
