The *Samoon Sewing and Knitting Training Center* run in memory of *Amar Shaheed Kuber Singh Kandari*, who sacrificed his life protecting the motherland, was inaugurated on *7th February 2021* at Nyal, Chamoli by the hands of renowned environmentalist *Shri Jagat Singh "Jangli" Ji* and under the chairmanship of respected member *Shri Vijay Mohan Painuli Ji*.
Mothers and villagers welcomed the team in a very beautiful way, for which we express our heartfelt gratitude to all mothers and villagers. Women and girls expressed their enthusiasm and happiness about the opening of this Sewing-Knitting Training Center.
We hope that through this center, more and more women and girls will learn sewing and become self-reliant and benefit from it.

मातृशक्ति और ग्रामीणों के द्वारा टीम का बहुत सुन्दर तरीके से स्वागत सत्कार किया गया जिसके लिए हम समस्त मातृशक्ति एवं ग्रामीणों का हार्दिक आभार प्रकट करते हैं। महिलाओं और बालिकाओं ने इस सिलाई-बुनाई प्रशिक्षण केंद्र के खुलने से लाभान्वित होने हेतु उत्साह और खुशी जाहिर की।

Due to poor financial condition, many of our brothers and sisters are forced to compromise with life. When there is no support in the family and one cannot even earn for themselves, it breaks a person.
One such person in distress is *Shri Sandeep Singh Ji*, a resident of *Rudraprayag*. Due to an illness, the veins in his right hand got blocked and water and pus keep oozing out. Because of this, he is unable to do any work. He lives with his wife and two small children. The daughter is 8 years old and the son is 7 years old. There is no one else in the family to earn, which is why the family is facing a lot of problems.
Sandeep Ji got treatment done at many places, but his treatment could not be completed. Then the doctors at Srinagar referred him to *AIIMS Rishikesh* for further treatment. But due to his financial condition not being good, Sandeep Ji has not been able to go for his treatment because he does not even have money to come.
Treatment could be done with the *Ayushman Card*, but the biggest problem was coming to the hospital. On receiving the request for help, *Samoon Pariwar* immediately arranged the fare for Sandeep Ji's team to come to AIIMS and also contacted doctors and other people at the hospital.
On behalf of Samoon Pariwar, a small assistance amount of *₹5500* was given to Sandeep Ji in the form of a cheque at the Samoon office, AIIMS Rishikesh.

आर्थिक स्थिति खराब होने के चलते हमारे कई भाई बहन ऐसे हैं जो जिंदगी से समझौता करने पर मजबूर हो जाते हैं। न परिवार में किसी का सहयोग होगा और न ही खुद कुछ कमा पाना मनुष्य को बिखर कर देता है।
ऐसे ही मजबूरी में जी रहे थे संदीप सिंह जी जो रुद्रप्रयाग के मूल निवासी हैं और इनके दाएं हाथ में एक बीमारी के चलते ब्लड वेंस बंद हो गए हैं, जिससे पानी व पस निकलता रहता है। इस वजह से यह कुछ भी काम करने में असमर्थ हैं। परिवार में स्वयं के साथ पत्नी और दो छोटे बच्चे हैं। बिटिया 8 साल की और बेटा 7 साल का है। परिवार में कोई भी कमाने वाला नहीं है जिसकी वजह से परिवार को बहुत ही परेशानियों का सामना करना पड़ रहा है।
संदीप जी ने कई जगह इलाज करवाया पर इनका इलाज संभव न हो सका। फिर श्रीनगर के डॉक्टरों द्वारा इन्हें ऋषिकेश एम्स के लिए रेफर किया गया परंतु आर्थिक स्थिति ठीक न होने की वजह से संदीप जी अपना इलाज करवाने नहीं आ पा रहे थे क्योंकि आने का किराया तक इनके पास नहीं था।
इलाज आयुष्मान कार्ड से हो जाता परंतु इनकी सबसे बड़ी समस्या थी हॉस्पिटल तक आना। सम्पून परिवार में सहायता हेतु निवेदन करने पर तत्काल संज्ञान लेते हुए टीम ने ऋषिकेश एम्स तक आने का किराया मुहैया करवाया और साथ ही इलाज हेतु हॉस्पिटल में डॉक्टरों एवं अन्य लोगों से संपर्क किया।
सम्पून परिवार की ओर से छोटी सी सहायता राशि *5500 का चेक* संदीप जी को सम्पून कार्यालय ऋषिकेश में प्रदान किया गया।

*Samoon Foundation* distributed *600 blankets worth ₹2 Lakh* to the needy.
While everyone spends the harsh cold of January and December inside their homes with heaters on, some of our brothers and sisters are forced to sleep under the open sky in this biting cold. For them, Samoon Foundation has been running a blanket distribution program every year for the last 7 years.
This year, *8 teams* were formed for blanket distribution in *Rishikesh, Dehradun, Devprayag, Rudraprayag, Pratapnagar, Tehri* in Uttarakhand, and at various places in Delhi like *ISBT, Burari, Laxmi Nagar, Dwarka, and Noida*. The main members of the teams included *Neetu Kandwal, Suraj Kandwal, Anil Singh, Anil Raturi, Vinod Raturi, Vendan, Narendra Rawat, Manoj Paliwal, Manoj Negi, Vikas Thapliyal, Subhash Jethudi, Mahtab Chauhan, Jagpal Jethudi, Vikram Singh, Dheeraj Jethudi, Manohar Rawat, Yogesh Negi, Vikram Singh* etc.
To ensure that the blankets reach the real needy, this blanket distribution program is carried out at night.

जहां सब जनवरी और दिसंबर की कड़कड़ाती ठंड में अपने घरों में रजाई ओढ़ के रहते हैं, वहीं हमारे कुछ भाई बहन इस कड़ाके की ठंड में खुले आसमान के नीचे सोने पर मजबूर हैं। उनके लिए सम्पून फाउंडेशन पिछले 7 सालों से हर साल कम्बल वितरण कार्यक्रम करती है।
इस साल उत्तराखंड में ऋषिकेश, देहरादून, देवप्रयाग, रुद्रप्रयाग, प्रतापनगर - टिहरी के विभिन्न जगहों के साथ-साथ दिल्ली में ISBT, बुराड़ी, लक्ष्मी नगर, द्वारिका और नोएडा में कम्बल वितरण के लिए 8 टीमों का गठन किया गया जिनमें मुख्यतः टीम के सदस्य नीतू कंडवाल, सूरज कंडवाल, अनिल सिंह, अनिल रतूड़ी, विनोद रतूड़ी, वंदना, नरेंद्र रावत, मनोज पालीवाल, मनोज नेगी, विकास थपलियाल, सुभाष जेठूड़ी, महिताब चौहान, जगपाल जेठूड़ी, विक्रम सिंह, धीरज जेठूड़ी, मनोहर रावत, यशिंध नेगी, विक्रम सिंह आदि सम्मिलित थे।
वास्तविक जरूरतमंदों को कम्बल मिले इसलिए यह कम्बल वितरण कार्यक्रम रात के वक्त किया जाता है।

*Hridayal Ji*, a 29-year-old resident of *Purola, Uttarkashi*, has both kidneys damaged and has been on dialysis for 1 year.
In his family there are his mother, father and 2 younger brothers. His father works as a daily wage laborer. Hridayal Ji was the only earning member in the family, but due to both kidneys being damaged he is now unable to do anything. Hridayal Singh Ji has to undergo 3 days of dialysis every week.
He has an *Ayushman Card*, but after using it for so long, its limit has now been exhausted. For the past 1 year, he has been getting dialysis done, which has cost a lot and his entire family is under financial strain due to the ongoing treatment.
Now the only option left for him is a *kidney transplant*. His mother is ready to donate her kidney, but due to lack of money the kidney transplant is not possible. For a kidney transplant, around 4 to 5 lakh rupees will be required. They have managed to deposit 2 lakh, but are unable to arrange the remaining amount.
Right now the family is in *Chandigarh PGI*. His kidney transplant could happen now, but it is not happening due to lack of money. Even a small help at this time will mean a lot to him.
Let's come forward to help Hridayal Ji with his treatment.

29 वर्षीय उत्तरकाशी पुरोला निवासी *हरदयाल जी* की दोनों किडनियां खराब हैं और 1 साल से यह डायलिस पर हैं। इनके परिवार में इनके माता-पिता व दो छोटे भाई बहन हैं। इनके पिता जी दिहाड़ी मजदूरी करते हैं। अपने परिवार में हरदयाल ही कमाने वाले थे परन्तु दोनों किडनी खराब होने की वजह से यह अब कुछ भी करने में असमर्थ हैं। हरदयाल सिंह जी को हफ्ते में 3 दिन डायलिसिस कराना पड़ता है। आयुष्मान कार्ड बना हुआ है पर इतने समय से डायलिस करते-करते इसकी लिमिट खत्म हो चुकी है। पिछले 1 साल से डायलिसिस कराने से इन पर काफी खर्चा भी हो चुका है और इनके इलाज के चलते इनका पूरा परिवार आर्थिक तंगी से जूझ रहा है।
अब इनके सामने एक ही उपाय है कि यह किडनी ट्रांसप्लांट कराएं। इनकी माता जी इन्हें अपनी किडनी दे रही हैं परन्तु पैसे के अभाव में यह किडनी ट्रांसप्लांट नहीं करवा पा रहे हैं। किडनी ट्रांसप्लांट के लिए इन्हें साढ़े चार लाख तक का खर्चा लगेगा। इन्होंने दो लाख जमा कर दिए हैं परन्तु बाकी पैसों का इंतजाम नहीं हो पा रहा है। अभी यह परिवार चंडीगढ़ पीजीआई में है। अब तक इनका किडनी ट्रांसप्लांट हो जाता परन्तु पैसे न होने से इनका ट्रांसप्लांट नहीं हो पा रहा है। इस समय इनके लिए छोटी सी मदद भी बहुत बड़ी है।
हरदयाल जी के इलाज के लिए हर संभव सहयोग के हाथ बढ़ाएं।
