Little Abhishek, aged one and a half years, was suffering from a serious health condition. Due to swelling throughout his body, he used to cry in pain throughout the night. His parents, being financially weak, were unaware of the exact medical condition affecting their child.
Abhishek’s father, Mr. Kedar Singh, had already borrowed ₹70,000 from friends and relatives for his son’s treatment, but his condition remained unchanged. The only information the family had was that Abhishek was suffering from a kidney-related problem.
Mr. Kedar Singh, originally from Sajwan Gaon, Post Office Kharsadi, Tehri Garhwal, Uttarakhand, was working in a hotel in Amritsar, Punjab. Due to the COVID-19 lockdown, he lost his job and was stranded there. Already burdened with previous debt, the family was struggling even to arrange basic food supplies, making further treatment for Abhishek extremely difficult.
After receiving information about Abhishek’s condition, Samoon Foundation immediately contacted the family and extended support. Doctors advised an ultrasound examination to understand the exact medical issue, but the cost of the ultrasound was ₹8,000, which the family could not afford at that time.
Samoon Foundation provided an immediate primary assistance amount of ₹10,000 to help arrange the ultrasound and begin further medical investigation. The foundation also assured the family of continued support and every possible effort for Abhishek’s treatment.
Samoon Foundation appealed to everyone to come forward and support Abhishek’s treatment, because no life should suffer due to lack of financial resources.

समूण फाउंडेशन सदैव कठिन परिस्थितियों में फंसे जरूरतमंद परिवारों की सहायता और आर्थिक परेशानी के कारण किसी के इलाज में बाधा न आए, इस उद्देश्य से कार्य करता रहा है।
डेढ़ वर्ष के छोटे अभिषेक को शरीर में अत्यधिक सूजन की गंभीर समस्या थी, जिसके कारण वह रात भर दर्द से रोता रहता था। आर्थिक रूप से कमजोर होने के कारण उसके माता-पिता को यह भी पता नहीं था कि आखिर उनके बच्चे को कौन सी बीमारी है।
अभिषेक के पिता श्री केदार सिंह जी ने बेटे के इलाज के लिए दोस्तों और रिश्तेदारों से ₹70,000 का कर्ज लेकर उपचार करवाया, लेकिन इसके बाद भी बच्चे की स्थिति में कोई सुधार नहीं हुआ। उन्हें केवल इतना पता था कि उनके बेटे की किडनी में कोई समस्या है।
श्री केदार सिंह जी मूल रूप से ग्राम सज्वाण गांव, पोस्ट ऑफिस खरसाडी, जिला टिहरी गढ़वाल, उत्तराखंड के रहने वाले हैं और अमृतसर, पंजाब में होटल में नौकरी करते थे। COVID-19 लॉकडाउन के कारण उनकी नौकरी चली गई और वह वहीं फंस गए। पहले से कर्ज में डूबे परिवार के सामने अब खाने के राशन तक की समस्या उत्पन्न हो गई थी, ऐसे में बेटे का आगे इलाज करवाना बहुत मुश्किल हो गया था।
जब समूण फाउंडेशन को अभिषेक की स्थिति के बारे में जानकारी मिली तो संस्था ने तुरंत परिवार से संपर्क किया। डॉक्टरों ने अभिषेक का अल्ट्रासाउंड करवाने की सलाह दी, जिसकी लागत ₹8,000 थी, लेकिन परिवार उस समय यह खर्च उठाने में सक्षम नहीं था।
समूण फाउंडेशन द्वारा तत्काल प्राथमिक सहायता के रूप में ₹10,000 की राशि श्री केदार सिंह जी को भेजी गई, जिससे अभिषेक का अल्ट्रासाउंड करवाया जा सके और बीमारी की सही जानकारी प्राप्त हो सके। साथ ही संस्था ने आगे के इलाज के लिए हर संभव सहायता का आश्वासन दिया।
