On August 17 , 2024, the Samoon Foundation demonstrated its unwavering
commitment to human dignity by stepping in to support Neeraj, a young man from
Kurn village battling a severe mental health condition. This humanitarian intervention
marked a vital turning point in Neeraj’s long struggle for care and compassion.
Neeraj's challenges began at the age of 20, when a deteriorating mental condition
was compounded by the tragic loss of both his parents. Left without immediate family
support, he endured years of isolation and suff ering. The situation came to light when
Mr. Vijendra Kumar, Director of SCTI0 3, reached out to Samoon Foundation’s founder,
Mr. Vinod Jethudi. Responding without delay, Mr. Jethudi coordinated an urgent
rescue eff ort, working alongside Mr. Kumar and Neeraj’s uncle, Mr. Vijay Singh.
Together, they ensured Neeraj’s admission to Apna Ghar Ashram in Shukratal— a facility
providing compassionate care and professional treatment. The Foundation, joined by
the local community, continues to pray for Neeraj’s recovery, standing as a beacon of
hope and affirming the transformative power of timely social intervention.
