Samoon Foundation received a donation of ₹5,350/- through respected Shri Harish Chandra Mishra Ji and his family for the welfare and support of needy people.

Shri Harish Chandra Mishra Ji is originally from village Atthu (Deval), Chamoli Garhwal district, Uttarakhand, and has been working as a chef in Australia since 2007.
During his stay abroad, Shri Harish Ji realized that if all Uttarakhandis living away from their homeland come together and celebrate their festivals and traditions collectively, they can remain connected with their roots and culture. With this vision, Shri Harish Ji and other members registered an organization named Uttarakhand Community of Western Australia (UCWA) in 2016, where he was elected as the first President.
Since then, the organization has continuously been celebrating festivals according to Indian culture and Uttarakhand traditions, while also making efforts to support underprivileged and needy people in Uttarakhand.
Born into a poor Brahmin family, Shri Harish Ji has experienced the struggles of poverty and believes that dedication, hard work, and honesty always lead a person towards success. Having spent his childhood in his village, he feels immense happiness in speaking his native languages and staying connected with his culture. He communicates in both Garhwali and Kumaoni languages.
Currently, Shri Harish Chandra Mishra Ji and his wife Smt. Rita Mishra Ji run a small restaurant named Guru Spices Indian Cuisine.
Regarding Samoon Foundation, Shri Harish Ji believes that donating for the welfare of needy people is a noble deed equal to a pilgrimage.

हरीश चंद्र मिश्रा जी एवं परिवार के माध्यम से दान प्राप्त

हरीश चंद्र मिश्रा जी एवं उनके परिवार के माध्यम से जरूरतमंदों के हितार्थ समूण फाउंडेशन को ₹5,350/- की दानराशि प्राप्त हुई।

हरीश जी मूल रूप से जिला चमोली गढ़वाल के ग्राम अट्ठू (देवाल) के निवासी हैं और वर्ष 2007 से ऑस्ट्रेलिया में शेफ के रूप में कार्य कर रहे हैं।
ऑस्ट्रेलिया में रहते हुए हरीश जी ने महसूस किया कि यदि सभी उत्तराखंडी परदेश में रहते हुए भी आपस में मिलकर अपने त्योहारों और परंपराओं को साथ मनाएं तो अपनी संस्कृति और जड़ों से जुड़े रह सकते हैं। इसी सोच के साथ हरीश जी एवं अन्य सदस्यों ने मिलकर वर्ष 2016 में उत्तराखंड कम्युनिटी ऑफ वेस्टर्न ऑस्ट्रेलिया (UCWA) संस्था का पंजीकरण करवाया, जिसमें हरीश जी को संस्था का प्रथम अध्यक्ष चुना गया।
तब से यह संस्था निरंतर भारतीय संस्कृति एवं उत्तराखंड की रीति-रिवाजों के अनुरूप त्योहारों का आयोजन कर रही है और साथ ही उत्तराखंड में समाज के निर्बल एवं जरूरतमंद लोगों की सहायता के लिए भी प्रयासरत है।
एक गरीब ब्राह्मण परिवार में जन्मे हरीश जी ने गरीबी और संघर्षपूर्ण जीवन को करीब से देखा है। उनका मानना है कि सच्ची लगन, मेहनत और ईमानदारी से कार्य करने पर सफलता अवश्य प्राप्त होती है।
बचपन से गांव में रहने वाले हरीश जी को अपनी बोली-भाषा और संस्कृति से जुड़े रहने में अपार खुशी मिलती है। वह गढ़वाली और कुमाऊंनी दोनों भाषाओं में बातचीत करते हैं।
वर्तमान में हरीश चंद्र मिश्रा जी अपनी धर्मपत्नी रीता मिश्रा जी के साथ #GURU_SPICES_INDIAN_CUISINE नाम से एक छोटा रेस्टोरेंट संचालित कर रहे हैं।
समूण फाउंडेशन के बारे में हरीश जी का कहना है कि “समाज में जरूरतमंदों के हितार्थ दिया गया दान किसी तीर्थ यात्रा से कम नहीं।”
