In this era of modernization, several organizations are working in these fields, and among them, Samoon Foundation is dedicated to serving people across Uttarakhand and beyond. Whether it is ration distribution, medical assistance, or any other form of support, the foundation always strives to help those in need.
One such example is the story of little Abhishek, which reflects the strong connection between humanity, compassion, and Samoon Foundation.
The case of Abhishek was brought to the attention of Samoon Foundation through Mrs. Ruchi Devi, Gram Pradhan of Gram Panchayat Bamana, Development Block Devprayag, Uttarakhand. Through a letter, she informed the foundation about the suffering of this young child and the difficulties faced by his parents.
Abhishek, aged 1 year and 6 months, son of Mr. Kedar Singh, was originally from Sajwan Gaon, Post Office Kharsadi, District Tehri Garhwal, Uttarakhand, and was residing in Amritsar, Punjab. His father worked in a hotel, but due to the lockdown during the pandemic, he lost his job. The family faced severe financial difficulties, including problems with food and living arrangements in another state.
At such a difficult time, Abhishek was already suffering from a congenital kidney-related problem. One night, his entire body suddenly developed swelling, and he started experiencing severe discomfort. His parents were unable to understand the situation, though they knew that he had kidney-related complications since birth. Somehow, Mr. Kedar Singh borrowed ₹70,000 from friends and relatives and arranged treatment for his son. However, even after treatment, his condition remained unchanged.
With no job, increasing debt, and his child’s health condition remaining critical, the matter reached Samoon Foundation. The team immediately contacted Mr. Kedar Singh and learned that Abhishek required an ultrasound examination to identify the exact medical condition. The cost of the ultrasound was ₹8,000, which the family was unable to afford.
Samoon Foundation immediately transferred ₹10,000 to Mr. Kedar Singh’s bank account as initial medical assistance so that the ultrasound could be completed.
After the ultrasound, it was diagnosed that Abhishek was suffering from PUJ Obstruction, a medical condition requiring surgery. The estimated cost of surgery was around ₹90,000. Through continuous communication with the hospital administration, Samoon Foundation helped reduce the surgery cost to ₹50,000.
Due to Abhishek’s high fever and delays caused by certain circumstances, the treatment process was delayed. Initially, Abhishek was admitted to Miglani Children Hospital, but later, according to the parents’ decision, he was shifted to New Bhandari Hospital. Samoon Foundation deposited ₹20,000 through cheque at New Bhandari Hospital towards his treatment.
Later, Abhishek was again admitted to Miglani Children Hospital, and the amount deposited at New Bhandari Hospital was transferred through cheque to Miglani Children Hospital. Additionally, ₹6,000 was directly transferred to Mr. Kedar Singh’s account by external donors.
Abhishek successfully underwent his first surgery, and another surgery was planned after approximately one month.
For Abhishek’s treatment, Samoon Foundation provided a total financial assistance of ₹36,000:
₹10,000 initially transferred to Mr. Kedar Singh’s account
₹6,000 later transferred through donors
₹20,000 deposited directly at the hospital

छोटे अभिषेक के इलाज हेतु चिकित्सा सहायता अभियान

इंसानियत और परोपकार दो ऐसे शब्द हैं जिनसे सभी लोग भलीभांति परिचित हैं और कहीं न कहीं इन्हें अपने जीवन में अपनाना भी चाहते हैं। आधुनिकता के इस युग में अनेक संस्थाएं मानव सेवा के क्षेत्र में कार्य कर रही हैं। इन्हीं संस्थाओं में से एक है समूण फाउंडेशन, जिसका मुख्य उद्देश्य उत्तराखंड सहित जरूरतमंद लोगों की हर संभव सहायता करना है। चाहे राशन वितरण हो, चिकित्सा सहायता हो या किसी अन्य प्रकार की मदद, समूण फाउंडेशन सदैव मानव सेवा के लिए तत्पर रहता है।
इसी मानवता और परोपकार का एक उदाहरण है छोटे अभिषेक की कहानी, जिसने समूण फाउंडेशन और मानव सेवा के बीच के मजबूत संबंध को दर्शाया।
अभिषेक का मामला ग्राम पंचायत बमाणा, विकासखंड देवप्रयाग, उत्तराखंड की ग्राम प्रधान श्रीमती रुचि देवी जी के माध्यम से समूण फाउंडेशन तक पहुंचा। उन्होंने एक पत्र के माध्यम से इस छोटे बच्चे की पीड़ा और उसके माता-पिता की कठिन परिस्थितियों से संस्था को अवगत कराया।
अभिषेक की उम्र 1 वर्ष 6 महीने थी। वह श्री केदार सिंह के पुत्र थे, जो मूल रूप से ग्राम सज्वाण गांव, पोस्ट ऑफिस खरसाडी, जिला टिहरी गढ़वाल, उत्तराखंड के निवासी हैं और उस समय अमृतसर, पंजाब में रह रहे थे। अभिषेक के पिता होटल में नौकरी करते थे, लेकिन महामारी के दौरान लॉकडाउन के कारण उनकी नौकरी चली गई। इसके कारण परिवार के सामने रहने और खाने की गंभीर समस्या उत्पन्न हो गई।
इसी कठिन समय में अभिषेक, जो जन्म से ही किडनी संबंधी बीमारी से पीड़ित था, अचानक एक रात गंभीर परेशानी में आ गया। उसके पूरे शरीर में सूजन आ गई और वह काफी परेशान होने लगा। माता-पिता को स्थिति समझ नहीं आ रही थी, हालांकि उन्हें पता था कि अभिषेक को जन्म से ही किडनी की समस्या है।
किसी तरह श्री केदार सिंह जी ने अपने परिचितों से ₹70,000 उधार लेकर बेटे का इलाज करवाया, लेकिन इलाज के बाद भी उसकी स्थिति में सुधार नहीं हुआ। पहले से ही आर्थिक परेशानियों से जूझ रहे परिवार के सामने अब कर्ज और बच्चे की बीमारी दोनों बड़ी चुनौती बन गए थे।
जब यह विषय समूण फाउंडेशन के सामने आया तो टीम ने तुरंत श्री केदार सिंह जी से संपर्क किया। बातचीत में पता चला कि अभिषेक का अल्ट्रासाउंड करवाना आवश्यक था, जिसकी लागत ₹8,000 थी और परिवार उस समय यह खर्च उठाने में सक्षम नहीं था।
समूण फाउंडेशन ने तत्काल प्राथमिक सहायता के रूप में ₹10,000 श्री केदार सिंह जी के खाते में भेजे, जिससे अभिषेक का अल्ट्रासाउंड कराया जा सका।
अल्ट्रासाउंड रिपोर्ट से पता चला कि अभिषेक PUJ Obstruction नामक बीमारी से ग्रसित था, जिसके ऑपरेशन का अनुमानित खर्च लगभग ₹90,000 था। समूण फाउंडेशन द्वारा अस्पताल प्रशासन से लगातार बातचीत के बाद ऑपरेशन की राशि को घटाकर ₹50,000 किया गया।
तेज बुखार और कुछ परिस्थितियों के कारण इलाज में देरी हुई। शुरुआत में अभिषेक को मिगलानी बाल चिकित्सालय में भर्ती कराया गया, लेकिन बाद में माता-पिता की इच्छा अनुसार उसे न्यू भंडारी अस्पताल में भर्ती कराया गया। उसके इलाज हेतु समूण फाउंडेशन द्वारा ₹20,000 की राशि चेक के माध्यम से न्यू भंडारी अस्पताल में जमा करवाई गई।
बाद में अभिषेक को पुनः मिगलानी बाल चिकित्सालय में भर्ती कराया गया और न्यू भंडारी अस्पताल में जमा राशि को भी चेक के माध्यम से मिगलानी बाल चिकित्सालय में स्थानांतरित किया गया। इसके अतिरिक्त बाहरी दानदाताओं द्वारा ₹6,000 सीधे श्री केदार सिंह जी के खाते में भेजे गए।
अभिषेक की पहली सर्जरी सफलतापूर्वक हो चुकी है तथा एक अन्य सर्जरी लगभग एक माह बाद होनी थी।
अभिषेक के इलाज के लिए समूण फाउंडेशन द्वारा कुल ₹36,000 की सहायता प्रदान की गई:
₹10,000 प्रारंभिक सहायता राशि के रूप में श्री केदार सिंह जी के खाते में भेजे गए
₹6,000 दानदाताओं के माध्यम से भेजे गए
₹20,000 अस्पताल में जमा करवाए गए
