On February 2, 2025, the Samoon Foundation once again proved that compassion

knows no boundaries. In the heart of Dehradun, the team reached out to Kailash Lal, a

man fighting for his life amidst mounting health and financial struggles. W ith quiet

dignity, he battles both kidney failure, requiring thrice- weekly dialysis, and a weakened

heart, functioning at only 20 % . His reality had grown increasingly bleak— until help

arrived.

Recognizing the urgency, the Foundation stepped in with a lifeline of support:

arranging accommodation, delivering a ₹10,000 check to cover two months' rent,

supplying a full two- month ration, providing essential utensils, an extension cord, and

an additional ₹7,000 in cash for immediate needs. This built upon their earlier

assistance of ₹11,000 toward his treatment and hospital care. But their support

didn’t end with resources— it came with empathy.

Kailash's wife stands beside him as his unwavering caregiver, while his sister works as

a domestic helper to make ends meet. His two young children, left in the care of their

ailing grandfather back in the village, wait for brighter days. For this family, every act

of kindness is a beacon of hope.

of the late Sunita Panwar. Following an earlier contribution toward her cancer

treatment, the Foundation provided an additional cheque of ₹21,000 to her eldestdaughter— bringing the total support to ₹42,000 — aimed at helping the family

navigate an uncertain future.

Sunita Panwar’s life was a testament to quiet resilience amid overwhelming adversity.

Having lost both her father and husband at an early age, she later faced her own

battle with cancer. Tragically, she succumbed to the illness on December 1 3, 20 24, at

Himalayan Hospital, leaving behind three young children. The Samoon Foundation

stepped in once again, recognizing the family’s dire circumstances, which include an

inability to return to their ancestral village or aff ord rent in Dehradun.

supporting individual students by facilitating the payment of ₹17,000 in school fees

for Anil Lal, a determined student of Samoon Adarsh School. This vital assistance,

made possible through the generous contribution of Mr. Ajay Kotiyal, ensures that Anil

can continue his education uninterrupted.

Anil Lal, who completed his 4th and 5th grades at Samoon Adarsh School in Osla, is

now enrolled at Gyan Jyoti School. His journey has been marked by personal hardship

— having tragically lost both parents— but his spirit remains unbroken. Despite these

challenges, Anil stands out for his exemplary discipline and 100 % attendance,

reflecting his strong commitment to learning.

The Samoon Foundation has supported Anil throughout his educational path,

including covering his hostel fees in previous years. This year’s timely support from Mr.

Kotiyal has been instrumental in sustaining Anil’s progress. The Foundation extends
