On a crisp winter morning, January 18, 2025, the hills of Manjoli village in Tehri
Garhwal echoed with warmth— not from the sun, but from the kind gesture of the
Samoon Foundation. As part of its ongoing winter aid campaign, the Foundation
distributed free sweaters to young children at the local Anganwadi Center, ensuring
that no child would miss out on early education due to the biting cold.
The distribution event drew heartfelt appreciation from the community. Mrs. Kavita
Jadari, the Deputy Head of the village, acknowledged the broader impact, stating that
the initiative "deepens our collective responsibility toward children's health and
education.
" Mrs. Haripriya Jadari, the Chief Anganwadi Worker, emphasized how
essential warmth directly supports uninterrupted learning for these young minds.
The emotional resonance of the day was captured by Mrs. Shanta Devi, Chairperson of
the Anganwadi Mothers' Committee, who shared that the gesture "sparked trust and
gratitude among both children and their parents.
" Representing the Samoon
Foundation, Mr. Rajendra Singh Rangad took an active role in engaging the community
and reinforcing the Foundation’s mission.
Also present were Mrs. Anita Kandari (Anganwadi Assistant), Mrs. Sarojini Devi (Ward
Member), and many parents, all united in their praise for this thoughtful intervention.
As the sweaters found their way onto small shoulders, so too did a renewed sense of
dignity and encouragement settle into the hearts of families.
Through every stitch and smile, the Samoon Foundation continues to weave warmth,
confidence, and opportunity— empowering children in remote regions to step forward
with strength, despite the cold.
