On the crisp morning of January 23, 2025, the narrow paths of Tikhaun- I village in
Tehri Garhwal echoed with cheerful chatter as the Samoon Foundation brought its
winter warmth to the Anganwadi Center. Children, bundled in anticipation, received
more than just sweaters that day— they were wrapped in encouragement, care, and
confidence.
The heart of the initiative wasn’t only in the distribution of warm clothes but in the
experience crafted around it. Mr. Rajendra Singh Rangad, representing the Foundation,
transformed the gathering into an engaging and educational session. As he shared
simple winter health tips and introduced playful learning games, young faces lit up—
not just from warmth, but from the excitement of being seen, heard, and cared for.
Mrs. Neema Rana, Chief Anganwadi Worker, highlighted how such thoughtful aid not
only shields children from harsh weather but also inspires consistent attendance and
focus in early education. Echoing her sentiment, Mrs. Pooja Semwal, Chairperson of the
Anganwadi Committee, noted the powerful role such initiatives play in building both
safety and self- belief.
The event drew heartfelt applause from ward members, parents, and staff , each
recognizing that the sweaters were just one part of a broader mission. W ith every
eff ort, the Samoon Foundation reaffirms its dedication to nurturing self- reliance,
educational access, and holistic growth— ensuring that every child, no matter how
remote their home, has the warmth and motivation to pursue a brighter future.
