While distributing blankets to the homeless in the cold winter night, the team encountered Ramswaroop, a daily wage laborer from Tehri Garhwal, lying helplessly on the roadside in severe pain.

Ramswaroop had suffered a serious hand injury caused by a falling wooden beam. His condition had worsened significantly, with a severe infection and no proper medical care. Although he had previously been admitted to AIIMS Rishikesh, he was discharged while still in critical condition and left without any support system.

Recognizing the urgency, the Samoon Foundation team immediately provided him with a blanket and stepped in to help. Volunteer Mr. Gajendra Rana took prompt action and began coordinating efforts to ensure Ramswaroop’s re-admission for proper medical treatment.

However, the situation required urgent and continued support beyond immediate assistance. In light of this, Samoon Foundation extended an appeal to the public to come forward and contribute towards Ramswaroop’s treatment and recovery. समून फाउंडेशन ने दिनांक 13 जनवरी 2025 को उत्तराखंड के टिहरी गढ़वाल स्थित बागी गांव के आंगनवाड़ी केंद्र में बच्चों को गर्म स्वेटर वितरित कर सर्दी के मौसम में राहत और खुशियां पहुंचाईं। यह पहल केवल सर्दियों से बचाव तक सीमित नहीं थी, बल्कि बच्चों के स्वास्थ्य, सुरक्षा और शिक्षा को सशक्त बनाने की दिशा में एक महत्वपूर्ण कदम थी।

इस कार्यक्रम का उद्देश्य बच्चों को कड़ाके की ठंड से सुरक्षित रखना और उन्हें नियमित रूप से आंगनवाड़ी केंद्र आने तथा अपनी प्रारंभिक शिक्षा में सक्रिय रूप से भाग लेने के लिए प्रेरित करना था। समून फाउंडेशन बच्चों की मूलभूत आवश्यकताओं को पूरा कर उनके उज्ज्वल भविष्य की नींव को मजबूत करने का निरंतर प्रयास कर रहा है।

आंगनवाड़ी कार्यकर्ता श्रीमती उषा देवी जी ने इस पहल की सराहना करते हुए कहा कि यह सहयोग केवल गर्माहट ही नहीं देता, बल्कि बच्चों को सुरक्षित और प्रेरित महसूस कराता है, जिससे वे बेहतर तरीके से सीख पाते हैं। सहायक कार्यकर्ता श्रीमती गुड्डी देवी जी ने भी इस प्रकार के सहयोग को दूरस्थ और संसाधन-विहीन क्षेत्रों के लिए अत्यंत आवश्यक बताया।

कार्यक्रम के दौरान समून फाउंडेशन के प्रतिनिधि श्री तेजपाल बगियाल जी ने संस्था के व्यापक उद्देश्य—हर बच्चे को समान अवसर प्रदान कर उसे सशक्त बनाना—के बारे में जानकारी दी। उनका संदेश इस बात को दर्शाता है कि संस्था हर बच्चे के उज्ज्वल भविष्य के निर्माण के लिए प्रतिबद्ध है।

कार्यक्रम में उपस्थित अभिभावकों ने भी इस पहल के लिए आभार व्यक्त किया और इसे अपने बच्चों के बेहतर भविष्य की दिशा में एक महत्वपूर्ण कदम बताया।

ऐसे संवेदनशील प्रयासों के माध्यम से समून फाउंडेशन ग्रामीण बच्चों के जीवन में गर्माहट, सम्मान और अवसरों को जोड़ते हुए यह सुनिश्चित कर रहा है कि कोई भी बच्चा संसाधनों की कमी के कारण पीछे न रह जाए।
