A Message from a Stray Cow – An Appeal for Compassion Towards Animals

Samoon Foundation shared a heartfelt message highlighting the importance of compassion, kindness, and care towards animals, especially cows who have been respected and valued in Indian culture for generations.

Since childhood, we have learned about the importance of cows through our textbooks. We were taught that cows are useful animals, providing milk, manure used as fertilizer and fuel, and other resources even after their lifetime. Cows have traditionally been given the status of a mother because of the nourishment provided by their milk. There was a time when serving and caring for cows was considered a duty and a blessing. They were respected members of every household and held a significant social and economic value.

However, the situation has changed today. Many people keep cows only as long as they provide milk, and when they stop giving milk, they are abandoned on roads to live helplessly. These animals often suffer from hunger, thirst, injuries, and neglect. They wander without care, facing harsh conditions and pain that often goes unnoticed.

The message reminds humanity that animals are living beings who feel pain and deserve kindness and protection. It appeals to people to understand their responsibility towards all creatures and show compassion instead of cruelty.

Every living being deserves care, respect, and a life free from suffering. Let us become more sensitive towards animals and contribute towards creating a kinder society.

एक गाय की पुकार – प्राणियों के प्रति दया और करुणा का संदेश

समूण फाउंडेशन द्वारा प्राणियों के प्रति दया, करुणा और संवेदनशीलता का संदेश देते हुए एक भावपूर्ण अपील साझा की गई।

बचपन से ही हम सभी ने अपनी पाठ्य पुस्तकों में गाय के महत्व के बारे में पढ़ा है। हमें बताया गया कि गाय एक उपयोगी पशु है, जिसके दूध से पोषण मिलता है और गोबर एवं गोमूत्र का उपयोग विभिन्न कार्यों में किया जाता है। भारतीय संस्कृति में गाय को माँ के समान सम्मान दिया गया है। एक समय था जब गाय परिवार का महत्वपूर्ण हिस्सा हुआ करती थी और उसकी सेवा करना लोग अपना सौभाग्य और कर्तव्य मानते थे।

लेकिन आज परिस्थितियां बदल गई हैं। कई लोग गाय को तब तक पालते हैं जब तक वह दूध देती है और उसके बाद उसे बेसहारा छोड़ देते हैं। ऐसी गायें सड़कों पर भूखी-प्यासी भटकने को मजबूर हो जाती हैं और कई बार उन्हें चोट, पीड़ा और उपेक्षा का सामना करना पड़ता है।

यह संदेश मानव समाज को याद दिलाता है कि पशु भी संवेदनशील जीव हैं, उन्हें भी दर्द और तकलीफ का अनुभव होता है। जिस प्रकार हम अपने लिए सुरक्षा और सम्मान चाहते हैं, उसी प्रकार हमें अन्य प्राणियों के प्रति भी दया और जिम्मेदारी का भाव रखना चाहिए।

समूण फाउंडेशन सभी से अपील करता है कि प्राणियों के प्रति करुणा रखें और एक ऐसे समाज के निर्माण में सहयोग करें जहां हर जीव के जीवन का सम्मान हो।
