"Seeing someone’s pain and feeling a heartfelt concern,
is what truly makes a person human."

After the death of Rukmani Devi Ji’s husband, the family faced another unbearable tragedy. Just six months later, her elder son Veer Singh Ji, aged 35, passed away unexpectedly. Then, within only one and a half months, her younger son Sunil Singh Ji, aged 33, also passed away prematurely.

The family was left devastated, as if a mountain of sorrow had fallen upon them.

Currently, the family is surviving with the support of old age pension received by Rukmani Devi Ji and the widow pension of her daughter-in-law. The pain and struggles faced by Rukmani Devi Ji and her family can truly only be understood by them.

To share their grief and provide support during this difficult time, the Samoon Foundation team reached their village Tat, Jakholi, Rudraprayag.

दुखी परिवार के सहयोग हेतु समूण परिवार

"देखकर दर्द किसी का जो आह निकल जाती है,
बस इतनी सी बात आदमी को इंसान बनाती है।।"

रुकमणी देवी जी के पति की मृत्यु के 6 माह बाद उनके 35 वर्षीय बड़े पुत्र वीर सिंह जी की आकस्मिक मृत्यु हो गई। इसके बाद मात्र डेढ़ माह के अंतराल में उनके 33 वर्षीय छोटे पुत्र सुनील सिंह जी का भी अल्पायु में निधन हो गया।

इन लगातार दुखद घटनाओं के बाद इस परिवार पर मानो दुखों का पहाड़ टूट पड़ा।

वर्तमान में यह परिवार वृद्धावस्था पेंशन और बहू की विधवा पेंशन से किसी तरह अपना जीवन यापन कर रहा है। रुकमणी देवी जी और उनके परिवार के दर्द एवं संघर्ष की कल्पना केवल वही कर सकते हैं, जिन्होंने इसे सहा है।

उनके इसी दर्द को बांटने और सहायता का संबल देने के उद्देश्य से समूण फाउंडेशन की टीम उनके गांव टाट, जखोली, रुद्रप्रयाग पहुंची।
