Rooted in Nature: Samoon Foundation Partners with Forest Department for Harela Plantation Drive in Shivpuri

Under the inspiring theme "Plants are Our Lifeline," and in alignment with its annual Harela Resolution, the Samoon Foundation team partnered with the Forest Department to organize a plantation drive on July 16, 2025, in Shivpuri, Tehri Garhwal, to celebrate Uttarakhand’s traditional folk festival, Harela.

The grand environmental event witnessed active participation from the Honorable District Magistrate (Tehri Garhwal), the DFO (Narendra Nagar), the Forest Department officials, the Samoon Foundation team, school students, and local community members, who collectively planted saplings across designated forest land. Ensuring the long-term sustainability of this drive, the Forest Department team has formally taken complete responsibility for protecting and nurturing these saplings until they grow into mature trees.

"पौधों से है रिश्ता हमारा" – समूण फाउंडेशन के हरेला संकल्प के तहत, हर साल की भांति इस वर्ष भी उत्तराखंड के पावन लोकपर्व हरेला के शुभ अवसर पर समूण फाउंडेशन टीम द्वारा वन विभाग के साथ मिलकर 16 जुलाई 2025 को शिवपुरी, टिहरी गढ़वाल में पौधारोपण किया गया।

इस विशेष कार्यक्रम के अवसर पर माननीय जिला अधिकारी महोदया (टिहरी गढ़वाल), डीएफओ (DFO) महोदय (नरेंद्र नगर), वन विभाग की पूरी टीम, समूण फाउंडेशन के सदस्य, स्कूली विद्यार्थी और स्थानीय ग्रामीणों ने मिलकर वन भूमि पर बड़े पैमाने पर पौधारोपण किया। इस अभियान को केवल रोपण तक सीमित न रखते हुए, लगाए गए इन पौधों की पेड़ बनने तक पूरी देखरेख और सुरक्षा की जिम्मेदारी वन विभाग की टीम ने सहर्ष ली है।
